The masseuse did an amazing job. However, I cannot leave only one star without an explanation of my full experience.
I booked my reservation on Google for 2 services: a 1h foot reflexology at $50 and a 30 mins cupping at $20. So total is 90 mins for $70.
Upon arrival, the person at the welcoming desk seem surprise to see me. So I showed my 2 confirmation emails. I was asked to wait for the room to be cleaned up and then was invited to come into the smallest room they have. At this point, my understanding was that I would receive the 2 services I booked for.
The masseuse proceeded with a full body massage and the cupping. I didn’t ask for a full body massage but thought maybe it was included with the cupping. After 1h, I asked when I will be receiving the foot reflexology service. My masseuse went to ask the front desk lady and came back saying that they couldn’t provide this service today. The service then stopped after 1h.
I then went to the front desk and was asked to pay $90. I asked where this price came from and the front desk lady mentioned that it was $70 for a 1h deep tissue massage and $20 for the foot reflexology. I challenged her saying that it was not what I booked for and showed her my two emails confirmation again. She then told me that they don’t do Google reservation and I should call or text instead next time. She then show me the prices written on the wall.
At this point, my frustration was growing. I reiterated the fact that I only received 60 mins service instead of 90 mins and what I received was not what I asked for. She insisted in saying that it was $90 but she could give me $10 discount.
So to summarize, I didn’t receive the service I booked for and was asked to pay $80 instead of $90 and for 60 mins instead of 90 mins with a totally different service.
For my peace of mind, I agreed to pay the $80 + taxes + 20% tips but now feel robbed.
I came in the location before and already had an issue with price and services but thought it was maybe a misunderstanding so I gave it a second chance. The first time I came, I asked the lady to disable her Google booking ability so it doesn’t confuse other customers but she did not so I figured maybe she was finally taking Google reservations.
Also, in terms of flow, the massage and overall atmosphere was not the most relaxing. There was a lot of back and forth and interruption during the massage and a lot of talking in Chinese with another Chinese man working there. He came into the room and was the one doing the cupping. There was also a dog (even though adorable) who was barking which is not the most pleasant noise when trying to relax.
After this second visit, I realized that the attitude of the front desk lady was not linked to a misunderstanding but straight up dishonesty and I will not be a...
Read moreGenerally, I don’t believe in paying a stranger to touch my body, but I was desperate. I booked an appointment online, and in the notes I stated, i’d like the focus to be on my feet (they did not have foot massage as an option). Before we started I made it clear once more to the masseuse and the manager (who escorted me to her) that I’d like to focus on my feet. I stated this while the 3 of us were together in eachothers presence. 15 mins in she is working my left leg; the focus being my calves while she only touched my foot a few times. She then moved on to my right leg, and did the same. This is my first visit I am not aware of their process, I would think with 45 mins remaining you’d go back and focus on my feet, so with that in mind I did not bother to doubt her work. I’m in and out of sleep for how soothing the calf rubbing was because it literally was sooting me to sleep, there was absolutely no pressure. At the end of it I asked if that was all. She brought her colleague to translate, I explained to them that my feet was touched a few times. They said it was reflexology, (not what I paid for nor what I asked for) and goes on to say that she thought you were in pain so she stopped. If I were experiencing discomfort I would not be comfortably lying there in and out of sleep for nearly an hour. I paid for the 1 hour of relaxation, I was not going to put on a show. The cherry on top was the audacity for the manager asking for a tip for such lazy work and granted they were busy, so they made very clear, but do not waste my time and money to take a break that is rude and inconsiderate. These women have no shame, I wouldn’t be surprised if they run their business on shameful acts once...
Read moreWe got a couple's massage yesterday and it was quite disappointing. We really wanted this place to be good since it's so close to our home but compared to well-organized, professional Chinese massage parlors, this place really lacks customer service and professionalism. Even though massage was okay and the price cheap, it was not worth it.
We walked into a room with a dog barking next door (fortunately the dog did stop barking during the massage) and the girls who massaged us chatted the whole time. Especially the girl who massaged me talked constantly even when her colleague didn't respond to her. And I kept wondering if they were talking about us because occasionally they whispered something even though they were speaking with their normal voices the whole time. The girl even laughed and whispered something to her colleague when she took the sheet off of me.
She didn't put her phone on vibration so it kept on beeping during the massage which I believe is the basic manner for masseuses. With the massage bed creaking, phone beeping, and the constant chatter, it was not a relaxing experience.
The owner asked us to pay in cash and she muttered something in Chinese when we said we didn't have any cash. There's nothing about this business being cash only online and she didn't mention that either on the phone when we made the...
