Morris Canal Park — Attraction in Jersey City

Having stayed in Paulus Hook for the last two years, I discovered this park by chance during one of my evening walks with my partner. Ever since then, we've visited this place for an evening walk pretty often [apart from the freezing winters].

To be honest, this is more of a dog park rather than an actual park and you'll typically find lots and lots of them in the evenings. None the less, I bet you won't be able to find a park in jersey City that gives you such beautiful views of downtown Manhattan and the Hudson River and lets you get as close to the water. There's a bench within the park that's hidden from plain sight but an absolute delight if you discover it :). Besides, a walk here is much more pleasant than perhaps the Boardwalk with much better views. There's also a Korean War Memorial at the foot of the park with a bit of history attached to it.

The sole negative that I can call out is the fact that the park isn't as well maintained and can be pretty...

Morris Canal Park offers some of the best views of New York Harbor and the New York Skyline. This is officially part of Liberty State Park, but it’s not contiguous.
