T.J. Maxx — Local services in Jersey Village

I come here a lot and the staff is usually okay. However, I was there on Thursday (October 6,2016), and had some clothes hung on one of the aisles, that I WAS GOING TO PURCHASE, until an older black lady just grabbed the clothes and handed them to me telling me"this does not go here, put it somewhere else" in a very rude manner. Her job is to fold clothes and to arrange clothes. That is her job and she can't even do that. I told her that I understand where she's coming from, but she didn't have to be so rude. She replied saying "Im 51 years old and I don't have to hear this" . She kept on talking outloud and to other employees. I even told one of the managers and all she did was go laugh with her about the situation and that just wasn't necessary. These employees have to remember that us customers are the ones who write their paychecks. Maybe thats why that old black lady is 51 years old and still working in a retail store getting paid under $10 an hour. And maybe thats why that manager that was laughing is a manager at a retail store. They wouldn't survive in the real world, which is why they get mad at the world and give horrible customer service. The most sorriest shopping place I am ever been. Un professional management who don't even know how to follow store polices. I have purse I bought from this store 3 days ago I was not satisfied with a purchase when I went home I found a layaway receipt inside the purse. And it was scratch from inside I took the purse back along with a original tags and receipt. I was told they are not going to return it or neither exchange it. Very rude manager and manager coordinator while I was in the middle of conversations with a manager she walked away and I was told by the rest of the staff she went for a lunch.

Really one thing is for sure I will never go back to Tj maxx. It was my favorite place to shop and I spend a lot of money in there but seems like they don't care about...

This store gets 1 star for being nicely kept. However, the store manager Leighann is extremely rude. I was trying to return an item (that when purchased they told me it was refundable). When I went to the store Leighann refused to return the item.

I had to called customer service and another TJ Maxx store to confirm that my item was returnable and to have them talk to the store directly. Even after customer service called the store, the manager still made me wait.

Exactly an hour later she returned it without even an apology. If you are buying something make sure you don’t want to refund it because the store manager will make it...
