I didn’t have a positive experience. My scalp and head hurt because my braids are too tight. I paid a $20 deposit and on the day of my appointment I paid an additional $160. This was for crochet braids. Never again. I texted back and forth with Solange. I saw the reviews and that everything would be good. However someone else did my braid down for my crochet braids. I felt like she was being trained. She didn’t understand me. I stated 5 times that my braids were too tight and I couldn’t comfortably turn or put my head up or down. So Solange started undoing my braids in the back. This hurt even more because she used the crochet needle to undo the braids. At this point I wanted to leave but needed my hair done because I am headed on a trip. Smh. Solange reached out to me and said we can help. How!? You already have my money, I am not coming back because I am headed out of time and I don’t want to comeback. This was such a horrible experience and they will never touch my head again. My advice is don’t use people to train on and charge them high prices. I spoke with Solange and thought she would be doing my hair. Listen when people tell you and show you their hair is too tight! My scalp turned bright red! My own fault because I should have just stopped the service and left but again I needed my hair done. Never again! Lesson learned. I’m so grateful for this beauty braiding salon! First, I’m thrilled they were listed on Google—it made finding them so easy. When I called, they answered right away, unlike the five other salons I tried, which didn’t even pick up.

I was in a tight spot and needed my braids fixed quickly. Not only did they accommodate me on the same day, but their pricing was fantastic. I also appreciated that the owner accepts both cash and Zelle, making payment super convenient.

The salon is located in a safe and secure area, which added to my comfort. Just a tip for parking: it’s next to Randall’s, so if Google Maps doesn’t take you directly there, head to the left side of Randall’s near Kirkland’s to find it easily.
