I went to CFBC church today and heard Pastor Averri LaVelle say to write down the promises of God. I was having a hard time in my personal time of writing them. I stepped out of my quiet space to check on my children when I remembered I found a jar in one of their toy boxes from summer camp. The jar reads, “Read me when [insert emotion”. I asked the children if they wanted to do the activity but they were video game zombies in that moment. As I began to pull out the little notes inside I realized they were all scriptures of promises of God! Amazing!! God keeps doing awesome things like this. He says seek me and you will find me. ❤️God has also used CFBC to speak a word of life into me and my family. My children love this church as well. Once they heard my excitement they unzombified (lol) and wanted to read the notes (scriptures) with me as well. At least 2/3 did so lol. The third one came to check in on the excitement once we moved it back to my quiet space. I encourage anyone who is seeking a safe space for their spirit to put it in the hands of Christ Jesus and to join us in fellowship. I LOVE this church! Being relatively new to Houston I visited numerous church and found myself re-visiting this one ateast 3 time before deciding it was "THE ONE" that the Lord was leading me to. I can honestly say that I felt most "At Home" with The Church @ Jersey Village. It has a welcoming environment, engaging Life Groups, great Praise & Worship team and a multitude of ministries to serve on. The deal breaker was also the fact that Pastor. Dr. Averri LeMalle's preaching/teaching’s are outstanding and holds your interest throughout the entire message. Coupled with his friendly and charismatic personality and most importantly with the Lord's guidance made it easy for me to claim this as my church home. PASTOR AVERI provides a personal experience for every member and visitor. And I assure you you will not be Blessed to fall asleep during his sermon. It is embracing and alive.If you are looking for a true relationship with a church that walks in love because they are truly led by the one True God. Then this is the place. So far my experience at this church in Jersey Village has been has been nothing less than satisfying and amazing. The members are full of love and life.
