I donât usually leave negative reviews, I know every business can have an off night. But our experience last night was frustrating enough that I feel compelled to share.
We came to celebrate a birthday with a group of about 20 people. The birthday girl had called ahead to reserve, so the establishment had time to prepare for a large party. Unfortunately, they were clearly underprepared.
My husband and I arrived around 8:00 PM. We were starving and excited to eat. While the server did acknowledge us, she didnât take our order until around 8:30 and several couples who arrived after us were served first. We ordered jalapeño poppers to start, I got the Wednesday steak special (steak, salad, baked potato, and green beans), and my husband ordered the Hawaiian burger. We both asked for water.
The salad bar had no lettuce or toppings. After I asked, it took about 10 more minutes just to get some lettuce, still no toppings, so I ended up with lettuce and ranch as my salad. Still no water by 9:15, so I walked to the bar to get it myself. A guest from our group had also ordered a drink over an hour earlier and never received it. While I tried to get our serverâs attention at the bar, she looked right at me and walked past without acknowledging me. Then the bartender also ignored me (ignored might not be the word, but definitely didn't acknowledge me ) for several minutes. Other patrons at the bar noticed this, too.
The jalapeño poppers finally came â rock hard, but we ate them anyway because we were that hungry. My steak came out an hour after we ordered. The steak itself was good, but the potato was cold with no toppings (the potato/salad bar still hadnât been restocked), and while the green beans were on the plate, I didnât eat them. Another 15 minutes later, my husbandâs burger arrived â tiny and flavorless, smaller than a McDonaldâs cheeseburger. He asked for Cajun fries and instead received fries with no flavor, no seasoning.
It seemed like they had just one server and one bartender running the entire place, with only one cook in the back. The staff may have been doing their best, but it simply wasnât enough to handle a group of our size. The restaurant should not have taken a large party if they werenât equipped to serve one.
The only redeeming part of the night was the atmosphere, the karaoke and the energy in the bar were fun and lively. But unfortunately, the food and service really let...

Read moreThis place is honestly delightful. I love karaoke and this place does it well. HOWEVER, the bartenders, namely miss Tony, need to be trained in appropriate interaction with customers. Her attitude is AWFUL. So much so that it almost ruined what should have been a fun evening. Luckily my friends were there to help me have fun in spite of her. She rolled her eyes at me for asking if mayo comes on a sandwich or not saying âI donât know.â Is it not her job to know? Then she came and told us that they were out of something that i ordered and when I needed a second to decide what else I wanted she scoffed like I was being such a problem. Idk if she just had a problem with me specifically or what (I can assume a few possibilities but I wonât play those cards today) but that needs to change before she runs paying customers away. Theresa on the other hand is great. She has great manner with people and a contagious smile.
AMENDMENT: Ok here me out. Maybe I was little hard on Miss Tony. Sheâs doing her best. But I still stand by the fact that they need to fine tune the service here. The food is delicious. Kudos to the chef back there doing her thing BY HERSELF. Anyway, clearly me being hungry and having to wait 45 minutes for my food didnât help my attitude. Iâm less...
