I had been looking for a new pair of hiking shoes for 2 years now. Nothing seemed to be the right fit. Then one day I was downtown and wandered into RMO. I thought, what the heck, let me see if I can find a hiking shoe here. Jandy was there to help me. He was so patient. After looking at my sandaled feet, he recommended that I try a couple of different brands. We hit a home run on the 3rd one.

I was able to wear the shoes hiking right from the beginning. No ‘break in’ period. I have worn them on several serious hikes this summer and my feet are just fine.

RMO is THE best sports store I could imagine. Jandy and staff are stellar and keep me returning for more kayaks! Their selection is great, knowledge is vast, and patience has been so appreciated in helping me load up my kayaks properly and safely. Just this afternoon I went into RMO where I have gone occasionally but frankly not for a long time. I met Mike who was so well versed on product lines and they needs they meet. He helped me make sure my poles I bought there years ago were still adjusted correctly and gave me advice on how to use them effectively for hiking and even demonstrated the technique.
