This was my first time shopping for myself at McKenzie Jade's and it was great! The process to get an appointment was so easy and getting your inspo pics/favorite dresses to the staff helps so much. I sent an email over with dresses I liked from their website along with my likes and dislikes beforehand and this allowed us to have such an efficient and enjoyable appointment. Once we came in we were happy to see the selection available and quality of the dresses.
The entire staff always made sure to comment on whatever I walked out in and showed personal interest in my decision. They always had positive things to say and made me feel really special. Caitlin, my wedding dress consultant, made the experience so rewarding and positive. As someone who gets stressed out at the thought of shopping and making big decisions, Caitlin made me feel so comfortable and talked me through the process so well. She was one of the first faces we saw in the store and she welcomed us with great enthusiasm. She told me about the dresses she pulled from my email and then gave us the option to look at the floor ourselves, which we did and found a few more to add into the try-on pile. We were able to pull about eight dresses that were all stunning and could have easily been my top pick. Caitlin was so helpful in the pacing of the appointment and letting me express what I was feeling in each dress. I could tell she really took my current thoughts and my likes/dislikes into consideration when pulling dresses and discussing details. Additionally, she showed genuine interest in my big day and the story of how my fiancƩ and I met, which I find VERY refreshing in the current wedding market. She helped me put my emotions into words and translated my concerns so well when I needed someone to talk to my party for me. She was my personal hype girl, always making me feel beautiful and supported in whatever decisions I was making and dresses I was wearing. She went above and beyond to tell me about the alterations/customizations that are available, switching veils when it did not feel right or offering alternatives when something was slightly off. She was patient when I needed to try on (and re try-on) my top picks and helped me immensely in my decision. I ended up picking one of my initial favorites and am so excited to see the final product after alterations. It would not have been possible without Caitlin, I truly believe she MADE the appointment, I highly recommend her and McKenzie Jade's.
Additionally, they allowed my mom to try on some dresses with the remaining time of my appointment. To our pleasure, we both said "yes to the dress" the same day.

My bride, who lives in state (NC), picked this bridal shop and they, of course, have no other locations in the country for us to be able to go in and try on the dresses. Now this isnāt at all the fault of the bridal shop, but for context a very frustrating way to begin this process.
I picked my dress and was told I needed to take my measurements by a specific date and send them to the shop, so I did. Now I donāt receive a response, but my bride reached out to me, implying that I hadnāt sent my measurements for my dress. I immediately got on the phone with them and was on hold for a total of 25 minutes the first time, then hung up on and 29 minutes the second time before being hung up on. The maid of honor was kind enough to start calling the shop as well and they picked up the phone for her, so we had a conversation on three-way to confirm my payment and dress size. No apology or acknowledgement of receiving my email, no idea what bride I was referring to, making this a very uneasy experience especially when spending money.
Again, I took the time to take my measurements and send them over, yet I was told that I would need to order the dress at least two sizes up to make sure it fits because it is European sizing and I will most likely need to get it tailored once it arrives. Over an hour total of time wasted, but I purchased my dress. I was confused as to why they wouldnāt be able to send me a dress in my size, but I didnāt want to push the question because I need this dress and I didnāt want any excuses for a bad product.
Now that I have it, I am frustrated because I could have gotten this same dress IN MY SIZE at Davidās Bridal for half the price. I am extremely confused by what yāall actually do because if this is a dress shop, why would my measurements not be enough, even if youāre not making the dress, at least tailor it to the measurements I shared?
I feel misled and now believe this is a third-party company that up sells (heavy on the up selling) premade bridal dresses from a European vendor. Literally sent me the dress in the same box that the dress was sent to them, covered in tape. I am annoyed because I spent twice as much on this dress than I did for previous weddings and received a better product. To say I wonāt be back is an understatement, but folks (specifically out of state folks), you deserve to know what youāre getting...

I gave 1 star because I was measured, by M Jās staff, for an oversized dress that came in 1 month before the wedding and since I āsignedā for the size there was nothing they would do⦠I have curves, my regular dress size is 1X or 16W. I was told, based off my hips & butt measurements and their sizing chart, that I needed a size 26 dress. I didnāt think formal wear ran that small BUT figured M J was familiar with this designer & the dresses sold in their store, so I trusted their judgment and signed for the size recommended. I could literally step into the dress & pull it up w/o unzipping it, that is how oversized it was! When I addressed the sizing with them, they kindly told me that this was the size I agreed to/ signed off on. Basically saying this was on me NOT on them. As you can imagine I am extremely dissatisfied especially because there was no acknowledgement of wrong doing on their part with how they measured me. Now I have to pay extra to get the dress drastically altered. Also, my dress wasnāt the only one in our bridal party to that came back oversized. I would not recommend chancing it with a purchase...
