Tokyo Express — Restaurant in Kannapolis

I just ordered here today and this was what they gave me for the steak hibachi. I went back to see if this was a mistake and was told no. That is the serving size. The older lady gave me my money back but the usual lady offered to make me more steak. Before i could answer and say yes the older lady said “SHE DON’T WANT IT”. I said i do want it and if you could just add more steak i will be satisfied. As i sit down and wait for my order to be redone another customer come in and order food. The older lady mumbles something and the customer responds “I get full off the portions y’all give me”. So i knew she was talking about me. I got up and requested my money. I will not spend my money with someone who will talk about me to the next customer in my face. Very poor customer service and I will not...

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately I can no longer say that. The portion sizes and quality of the food have gone down drastically! Tonight we went there and ordered four plates, two drinks, and two spring rolls and paid over $60!! Normally our four kids can share two plates of food.. NOT TONIGHT. All of them were begging for more rice. My husband and I both got steak with our meals and I hate to say that it was the worst steak I've ever tried in my life. It had no sear to it and no flavor. Like tiny bites of dog food. I was so disappointed in the meal that I didn't even complain. I really hate that it's gone down so much because the owners are very kind. Hopefully they'll get some Cooks in that know what they're doing and care about...

I wish people knew that we are so eager to communicate with the people around us that we invest our money in language translators. Well guess what buddy I definitely had mine on! The older lady with the red glasses didn’t believe my name was Katie because I’m a big black girl! She made me repeat my whole order with a side eyes and started talking in her native tongue. Mind you I do have a cold and I’m better sure my husband’s clown mask didn’t help but it was the only mask in the car. They gave us toooo much rice and a small amount of steak (our plates were $25)!
