 Horrible grooming experienceI brought my Golden doodle into the Petco in Kemah TX on Wednesday January 18th. When I arrived the person who checked me in was to knowledgeable at all wh we n I asked them to give my dog a Golden doodle cut with a teddy bear face. When I arrived to pick my dog up they told me she had been anxious. She is only 3 years old and has been groomed since she was a puppy and I have never been told that. They have always said she was a very sweet and calm dog when groomed. I noticed when I picked her up that when they brought her out she kept shaking her head and pawing at her ears so this continued through out the night and the next day. I called vet which has just seen my dog on the Monday before her groom and said she was healthy and had nothing wrong with her including her ears. They recommended I call the groomer to see if they used anything on her ears when they had plucked all her hair from the inside of the ears. When I called the groomer who answered the phone made excuses of what might had happened and 5hen said let me klgo speak with the person who groomed her. Her response was well she might of gotten water in her ears or when they plucked her ears it could have irritated them. But she really did not know what happened to my dog. She related this message to the person who answered the phone. I would have thought professionally if you call with an issue with your grooming she would have taken the time to come to the phone and speak with me. So the Vet said they could no see her till Monday when she was seen the vet reported back that her ears had no infection but that all the way into her ears canal was flamming red and she was in aloy of pain. She had little sores in one of her ears. So now Petco has cost me the price of grooming $117.00 and a vet bill of $325 dollars. The vet gave her medicine in the ears to calm them and she is on an antibiotic and steroid to get her better. I will be going back to speak to the manager about my experience.

Read moreSo..... For starters ..... They advertised dog crates on their website and said it was "instock" At 33.98$ good deal. I went INTO THE STORE only to be told they are online only which the website clearly stated "in store" at the kemah location in which they salesman tried to sell me the same cage at $99. False advertising #1 #2 incident- they will push their brand of dog food on you instead of what's best for your dog. #3 - and THE MOST BS I've ever been thru with my dog. They advertise FREE VET EXAMINATION - ok great- go in on the Saturday and wait in line 2 hours. Assistants taking names and asking questions have NO IDEA how to read previous shots paperwork and almost killed my dog by giving her shots she already had and over vaccinating her ! Then after waiting for 2 hrs to see the vet I said just give her a check to see if she's healthy. He looked at me and rudely replied we just do shots here if she doesn't need any then i can't help you. WOW ! NO WHERE ON THE FLYER DOES IT SAY SHOTS ONLY!!!! IT CLEARLY SAYS VET EXAMINATION !!! THIS DR WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! didn't even check my puppy after I waited in line 2 hours. DR JUNGMANN you are a rude vet. You could have looked her over you've been doing this long enough. I want a vet and a store THAT CARES about my pets not trying to false advertise to make money and shove poison down my dogs throat. There are NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW INFURIATED I WAS LEAVING THAT STORE. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM PETCO EVER AGAIN NOR WILL I RECCOMEND ANYONE GOING THERE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IS MY RECCOMENDATION. One star is too much...
Read moreHorrible experience yesterday at the pet vaccination clinic. Staff very disorganized, no one in charge. Vet spent more time standing around talking than he did doing vaccinations. Save yourself time and frustration and go elsewhere. PVS does a much better job. Also, people were turned away at 1pm (when the vaccine clinic closed) but at 3pm, two people came in and begged and were allowed to get vaccines. Unethical and very judgmental as the incompetent staff decided some could get vaccinated late and others were told, "we closed at 1." The Vet knew is was bad, as he begged me to give them a good review if I was sent an email. I absolutely will not LIE. This place is good to buy items, HORRIBLE VET services (or lack of service). PVS is the best. No one can compare with them in this area. Update: 8/5/18 the saga continues. We still can't get the vaccination records or our poodles registered with the microchip they put in because he incompetent people a the Vetco clinic put in an incorrect email. We have been trying to get this corrected for weeks to no avail. So i have two poodles microchipped and they aren't registered to me. So what good does that do? NOTHING. You speak to the manager and he is rude as can be and says he can't do anything to call Vetco, you call Vetco and they say they can't fix it that "IT had to correct it." At the end of the day, my dogs are microchipped but not registered to me. I urge you to NEVER buy animals or seek services at this HORRIBLE place. Worst experience ever with my pets....
