I don’t recommend crest. Crest at pincrest should change their name Baby, Haley they don’t represent the class and name of its location. a brand new building it’s already so run down. Fires, water damage more than 2 times on multiple floors, a shooting in front of lobby, no surveillance, terrible parking garage with not enough room for residents and none for guest, cars have been broken into/stolen, strangers allowed in the building past the concierge desk, no security, silverfish bug infestation, defective steam room and sauna, a “heated pool” that’s always cold, deck is so slippery unsafe people always fall people, throw things off their balcony’s, dogs left out on balconies to urinate and more all day, cheaply made apartments. The two fires , the fire alarms did not alert many floors of the fire, where the sprinklers went off on more than five floors entirely causing severe water damage and flooding where management made residents switch apartments/ causing complete damage to furniture/things inside the apartments. There was such bad flooding. There must be permanent damage to the units and floors of this apartment building. They tried to repair . the elevators always have major problems. At times only one elevator works and there’s an elevator that stops at every single floor it is also the only elevator with access to the parking garage so good luck getting to your car. there are 18 floors) they also make you pay $100 per parking spot, but that could be incorrect since they choose what to charge people there’s people who pay nothing and there’s people who pay more .the elevator situation is on and off. On some floors, the fire alarms do not alert residents that there is a fire going on in the building. I was actually unaware of a fire going on until my neighbor told me that the building was supposed to evacuate. Leasing has been alerted, but no solution has been completed. Someway somehow the odor of other people’s units transfer and flow into the bedrooms of the units so if your neighbor is cooking something smelly The tub showers are made so faulty every time we shower pools/puddles of water go onto your bathroom floor. I have to put a towel down every time it gets completely soaked. It’s not just me. Other units have the same issues. The wall gets completely wet where it starts peeling and dropping drywall. I raise this concern to the office and to Maintenance and they say they can’t do anything about it because it will continue to happen. They only fix it when you move out to cover it from the new renters. Some of my neighbors have had their tires popped, their car is broken into and the office can’t do anything about it because they do not have any cameras/surveillance installed in important areas They also have no security only concierge who does not do much. They pick and choose when to call residents to allow someone up but other times they just let them up. The old management used to let people park in the lobby who was in bad business which led to a shooting happening outside the lobby area. Shortly after this, the management was completely changed now they are getting more strict on the parking situation. Which leads into the fact that Pinecrest has no guest parking, they only have on the first floor of the parking garage a retail only parking for offices. They hope to lease out, but have not yet once these offices have a lease. There will be no Guest parking at all. Now they’re adding a parking enforcement to parking in the building so if you want to park in the retail , you have to pay. Leading to no free parking for visitors. There’s also very minimal parking for residents and the building isn’t even over 90% occupancy. They also just let residents know They will be enforcing parking heavily and will start towing people. Visitors parking is very expensive about 50$ less than a day. Steam room and sauna don’t work at times, pool can be an enjoyable because it’s not truly heated completely and it’s very windy up on the pool deck, Barbecues are always dirty. People don’t clean up...
Read more6 Month update - please read the reviews and when you take a tour ask them what their employee turnover rate and resident occupancy rate it is. This is not usually something many people think about, but in the last two years of being open I think there is room for concern when management has changed more than once. I would not have a problem with this had this been communicated to the community when change in management has occurred. It would be great to know who is actually staff. The lack of communication and responsiveness from management I will say needs improvement, but the community is beautiful and somewhat well kept. We have had a fire incident and a few crime problems, but I will give prior management and current management kudos they handled them very well and when information was needed they did provide updates. I will say document everything in writing because as management changes and certain approvals are needed you will need to have them in writing to pass along to new management(lesson learned). In the past 6 months there has been several issues that we have encountered and for the amount you pay honestly just have to decide if the views and location are worth it. I would like to see more community events especially coming up to summer with all the great amenities the building has to offer they could hire a resident coordinator to help assist with these plans and attract more residents to interact and enjoy the building amenities. This would be best for community engagement and help us get to know the staff members. Please ensure you do your research and ask to view your apartment and please do not hesitate to reach out and clarify any questions you have before making your decision. With some minor improvements I can see this community moving in a better direction, but let’s see what is in store for the next 6 months and I will provide an update. New photo added for updated view. Please do not hesitate to ask me more.
Just moved in to Crest at Pinecrest - If you want the views and experience of downtown, but do not want to stay downtown definitely come to crest at Pinecrest. You have all of the great amenities and views to go along with them. Guest parking - not many spaces, but they are working on it. No Valet trash - not a problem you have plenty of ways to discard of your trash and each floor has trash chutes so that is definitely not a problem. Residents- everyone here has been friendly and helpful. Amenities - only downside is the work area/social room does close at 10pm Est so if you want to get out your apartment for studying or late night work sessions unfortunately they close at 10. That does not take away from home amazing the amenities are and they are never crowded. Cleanliness- OMG spectacular the team does a wonderful job to ensure daily that all areas are clean I am super happy about the cleanliness of the apartment. They definitely welcome dogs you will see several areas to walk your dog and they keep the areas clean. I used an apartment locator to help find my home at Crest and Lucia was amazing at coordinating everything for my sister and I. Leasing agent Rosie is top tier she ensured my sister and I had everything we needed and answered all of our questions throughout our process. Without Rosie and Lucia I am not sure I would have chosen Crest at Pinecrest to be my next home. Liz on the management team is fantastic as well after a few issues on Move in Liz made sure everything was up to par and I appreciated that as I moved from another city and she ensure my apartment met all of my standards along with hers and continued to provide excellent customer service throughout. If you do decide to look at Crest at Pinecrest please ask for Rosie or Liz or even Elizabeth these ladies will ensure you are will taken care of with smiles and a warm welcome. You may not get the customer service from everyone on staff, but these ladies and their concierge team(Josh and Juan are the freaking best!!!) will take great...
Read more“Luxury apartment” from hell. I lived At crest a few months after it opened and ironically broke my original lease exactly the day it ended. In the year that we lived there we were relocated not once not twice but three times for reasons that were beyond our control and not because of choice. The first time we moved due to our apartment electric being destroyed by a fire leak causing our entire electricity to break we had to leave and stay at a hotel while we were relocated to the exact unit on a different floor, somehow our rent was 2-3 hundred more than our original and we were forced to sign another lease promising a year. Without notice to find another apartment we signed thinking this would be the only issue, in our second apartment we were moved next to tenants with many issues cops called our walls slammed on so hard our kitchen glass would shake cops coming to speak to us on multiple occasions not to mention being questioned by police if we saw who threw a ak47 and Glock down the trash? What? Who are they allowing to live here… for security purposes we had a ring camera and for that reason our neighbors decided to blame us for all the times cops were called for us and started threatening us on the camera to the point police told them they need to move us so here we are a few months later moving again and once again forced to sign another lease now our rent went from 2800 to 3200 for the same unit ??? Finally a week after settling into this apartment there was a shoot out in the lobby leaving a 21 year old shot 4 times the building shot cops and blood everywhere for my own safety I removed Myself from this building. Not to mention finding bullets in the parking garage. The trash shoot was a literal biohazard and walls so thin you can hear every conversation your neighbors have. Don’t fall for the specials and the pretty pool this place is nothing but a scam and even my legal team is baffled by the negligence...
