I wanted to write a review about the Container Store chain in general, and because this is the one I shop at, I chose this one to review; I really wanted to review their good customer service.
I bought something here and it ended up breaking quickly; bought another and it, too, broke. So, I wrote a review on the Container Store website, gave it a one star, and didn’t hesitate to express my displeasure with the item (I rarely write bad reviews).
Within a day or two, the Container Store posted a response that someone would contact me (I didn’t request anyone contact me, I was just venting about the product). I then received an email, and an offer of a replacement of the item; they offered me a higher-quality item that was more expensive. I was asked to provide my address and they would ship it to me. I provided my address. A day or two later, I received an email confirmation that the better item had shipped. Then, I received the better, replacement item within a day. I was shocked at this excellent customer service (again, I hadn’t requested a replacement; just wrote a review).
I received the better item within 2 weeks of posting my review. Hence, this review. I love this store and all the cool gadgets they sell to help you organize. But, what I really love is this great customer service. THIS is the way a business should conduct themselves; they saw an unhappy customer and fixed it – that cost them very little and made their unhappy customer happy. I VERY much appreciate that. I am going to try and edit my scathing review to note that they did this; but, I don’t think the website allows edits. I stand by my review of the product, but am very happy at the Container Store’s response.
As for this Dadeland store. It is very convenient to the mall, plenty of free parking, employees are always nice and helpful. The store is clean and well-organized. There isn’t anything to not like about the store. Normally, when I buy things there, they are of good quality – the item I complained about, that was the exception. There was an extremely disrespectful staff named Christopher. At first he was telling us to properly wear our mask which is understandable; however, we have plenty of doctor written notes a stating we are not forced to wear it because of our severe respiratory issues. I understand the store has it’s own rules but come on, the store was empty and closed and no one was nearby, it did not bother him at all. He was also talking bad about my mother to another staff member and making it very obvious, which is unacceptable for someone serving a customer. After that, he was very rude and while we were in line waiting to pay for our stuff, he assisted the people behind us and after that started talking to the lady assisting the people in front of us. After confronting him, he says he has to assist that lady helping the person in front of us, but then we told him that’s not his job and to please help us at the cash register because we had been waiting for a while. Thinking that was the end of his disrespectfulness, we were shocked when we saw him looking thoroughly & with detail into all of the stuff that we bought making sure we weren’t stealing anything. Read moreVery nice location, somewhat overwhelming and I would say that having Instagram or professional organizing expert events would be vital to these locations. Not only would it draw a crowd but the simple fact that they could give pointers and tips to those individuals while making them online affiliates would draw more revenue and exposure to their line and brands. I would say the hard thing was walking in not knowing they had room planners and those digital or online planners don't have well-thought solutions for the oddities of kid's playrooms or extras that are not obvious to everyday pantries and garages or offices. I did however find it super helpful to see the product touch it and figure out if it would work for me or not. This was great, I just wished there were some great experts to give advice on the products and give suggestions or options to solve our particular problem. Instead, I bought a few things got overwhelmed, resorted to Instagram/Etsy, and used the Amazon links they posted. 780.00 later and I solved my problem.
