I used to love this pharmacy when it was Rite Aid. The staff were always polite, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, since it became CVS, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Today, one of the medications I was supposed to get wasnāt available. Instead of informing me, the pharmacist just gave me the generic version without asking. When I expressed concern about taking the generic, she responded, āDo you want it or not?āāextremely rude and unhelpful. She then sent me to another CVS location to pick up another medication she did not have. She didnāt check whether my insurance would cover it or require pre-approval, and I had to drive to the other pharmacy only to find out that my insurance wouldnāt cover it without approval. To make matters worse, it took five and a half hours for them to return my callācompletely unacceptable.
Since this location opened, today was the third time I went there, and it has been the third time Iāve been disappointed.
After looking for other pharmacies, I discovered Ostromās Drug & Gift in Kenmore, only two blocks away from CVS, a locally owned pharmacy known for personalized service. They were voted as the best pharmacy in the Pacific Northwest in a 2023 Seattle Times campaign. Iāve decided this will be my new pharmacy, and I encourage others to try...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwice now, since they became CVS, they have not filled my prescription on time when it was supposed to be ready. This is an important medication I take daily for a serious heart condition so missing doses is not okay. Their online platform never works, my recurring prescriptions arenāt auto filled. Even tonight I cannot get ahold of someone to confirm my prescription will be ready. This is unacceptable. Iāve had conversations with multiple staff about the meds and the importance of receiving them on time. Also itās horrible customer service to require customers to leave voicemails and wait for callbacks that never seem to happen instead of being able to call and directly speak with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery rude associate. Told me to "just sign and pay up" when I asked to use a good Rx coupon. I assumed she didn't hear what I said so I repeated it and her response to that was to tell me I had to go to the drop off counter and start over and wait half an hour to use the coupon. She also didn't realize there was two for pickup and when I politely asked if she could take a look for the second one she tried to argue with me. I pointed out that even the touch screen showed there were two different medications ready so she reluctantly went to double-check and did discover there was a second one and was rather defensive and cranky about it. Rite aid was so...
