Classic greater-Seattle area teriyaki place. The portion size is on par with most places roughly three thighs two mounds of rice and a little iceberg lettuce salad. The chicken was very lightly marinated, but fresh and chargrilled to a perfect juiciness. A light sauce that hits the salty sweet balance of a teriyaki sauce, not thick or gloppy. The gyoza are crisp and filled adequately no surprises there. The menu is simple in comparison to most teriyaki places that have a wide range of other Asian fare, this was more straightforward. Overall, a solid teriyaki joint and worth checking out.

Warning ⚠️ not impressed. Disappointed. 1st, it is actually soggy katsu. It doesn't seem to be freshly fried, it tastes more like microwave food. 2nd the sauce should never be laced on the chicken, it should a side sauce. 3rd the chicken itself doesn't taste fresh from the broiler.... would not recommend getting the chicken katsu from here!

I would visit again for the Teriyaki and chicken Katsu but not the Yakisoba noodles. Good location and easy to find with parking out front. Also a decent selection of food options, kind and sweet service but the interior of the place needs an upgrade/clean. Solid 4 stars.

It's hard to say whether I can genuinely recommend this place or not. I haven't necessarily had a bad experience with them, but that doesn't mean that they are worthwhile either.

I'll start with mentioning that I've ordered the following items;

Chicken Teriyaki Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Side of Fried Rice

I've ordered from them quite a few times, because it's the "only place my boss trusts", whatever that means.

Starting off with the chicken teriyaki, it's straight average. Ever had chicken teriyaki before? Congratulations! You know what to expect. One thing I've noticed is I seem to get a lot of fat off of their chicken.

Spicy chicken teriyaki is my bosses favorite. I will admit that it's a bit better than a lot of other places, so if this is your thing then I'd recommend trying it.

The fried rice..... Now this is a straight joke.. You want Tokyo fried rice or house fried rice? Nope, they don't add any meat to their fried rice and don't even give you the option... On top of that I swear on my life they go to Safeway and buy some frozen fried rice and then try to pass it off as fresh. Yeah, stay away from this sad excuse for a dish.

Last thing, this place seems so dirty. I mean, can't provide evidence of this but go there and you'll see...

I've been a customer here for close to 5 years, coming here every other weekend or so. Tonight I bought my food, got home, saw the price of what I paid and thought I was charged extra for my order. The price seemed high, perhaps even factoring inflation. When I drove back, they kindly explained to me that was indeed the price for this meal. I couldn't believe it. When I started coming here, the prices were actually fair and reasonable, but I cannot say the same today.

The food is good. The owners are good people. In no way am I angry or want to hurt anyone. However, someone else mentioned in their review that the prices are absurd, which I can attest to. After 5 or so years, I will no longer be a customer here. The prices are obscene, far too high, again even when you factor in inflation. Nothing against the people/owners in any way. They are super nice and good people, but I will no longer order from here despite having come here for the past 5 years. I will instead go elsewhere, perhaps a place in walking distance, which is fairly priced.

I rated one star for "service" in place of price factored into service. I gave it an overall two stars for the pricing. I hope you have a wonderful evening...

Do not confuse old and dumpy with dirty.

Shame on everyone who said that this is dirty. It is a clean, dumpy, and old dining area.

And there is a proper urn of brewed tea to enjoy with your meal for free. The tea is fragrant and wonderful and a necessary part of an Asian meal, at least here where I am in America. Drinking diet Coke with teriyaki is low and contemptible. I asked for tea at one of the popular chains and they charged me 6 bucks for a cup of hot water and a tea bag. That offended me vastly.

This is not a chain. The food is as good or better than the chains and somewhat greater value. The large portion has 3 skewers of meat rather than 2.

My large entree was under 20 bucks and no one charged me 6 bucks for a tea bag and a cup of hot water. Instead I sat at a nice clean old dumpy table and quaffed several cups of very nice properly steeped tea while enjoying a nice beef teriyaki.

This is a feather in...
