Very rare of me to have negative review. Love area. Spent over $2000 in area shopping and eating over last couple days. Owners and employees of nearby stores have been extremely engaging and friendly. We casually walked in to this store and my son simply picked up a WOOD light house that was sitting on floor by entrance. An employee, or owner not sure, immediately comes rushing over aggressively taking it from him saying “this is a $60 item, supervise him”. We immediately walked out. Clearly this is not a business that will ever get our money or we will ever recommend on any of our social media.

Edited to add in response, we had literally just walked in door. My daughter actually had not even had time to step inside yet. I was staring right at my son. This afternoon we learned from neighboring businesses this is pretty par for the course from this particular owner. As I now see in other reviews as well and his incredibly brash responses. Perhaps an online store with less customer interaction would serve the owners...

The owner of this store is insane. My son gently picked up an item in the store under my supervision and the owner at a level 100 of aggression yelled at he and I not to touch anything. Even though he was way out of line, I calmly explained he did not need to worry, I would happily pay if he broke something to which the owner aggressively screamed for us to get out of the store. No one could believe what they saw and confronted me to let me know they would never enter that store again. A couple out front let me know they were asked to leave for being gay…. Enough said. Don’t waste your time or money supporting this horrible...

Stopped in needing directions, and Mark provided them. The next day I stopped in to pick up some gift items. He remembered me and we talked for probably half an hour as he filled me in on local history. As I left, he shook my hand and thanked me for coming back, and told me I now have a friend in Kennebunkport. Great shop, great owner,...
