Authentique — Local services in Kenosha

Update: After patronizing Authentique since opening, today the customer service Kimberly (owner) directed her "peons" (their word not mine) was disappointing to say the least. When a product you sell fails to be what your customer purchased, a replacement at the very least would have been appreciated. As a small business owner, standing behind what you sell would be your #1 priority, in my opinion. I'll be spending my dollars elsewhere, To and From will be my only go to from now on.

Mostly food, candles, cosmetics and jewlery. Very little decorative items anymore. Candles smell good at the store because burning multiples and small room but when I burned one at home little to no scent and it was horribly expensive. Marshals soy candles 1/4 of cost and more scented. No returns only exchanges. Last, bought gifts at Christmas. Got someone a granite charcuterie board, the sales person grabbed it for me and wrapped it up so I didn't notice it had a crack down the center of it. When I got home, I called the store to report it. They informed me they were out of them and told me the person that makes them could make another one but I would have to pay for them to get it shipped??? Granite is not cheap to ship! They took no responsibility for the fact they sold a damaged item and I had to pay over $35 to get...

Authentique is a boutique gift shop. They have a variety of items to select from. I was there and it was decorated for Christmas and they also had items related to the holidays among other things such as incense. soap, flameless candles, regular locally made candles, wall decor, body care products etc too many things to name. The store is beautiful and it makes you want to linger and look at everything. The owners are warm and inviting and made the visit to their store a good experience. I definitely will be returning.
