Wow, if I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would! I’ve been working with one of the owners, Meghan, since February to plan a corporate event for 24 people at ‘Hold My Beer’.
Meghan was a superstar! She provided top-notch service, communicated brilliantly, and gave me all the info I needed. She made the whole process a breeze and was super accommodating. We had some special requests and they were all met with a smile. There were others helping coordinate too, but I’m not sure who they were. Regardless, the team was fantastic! We mostly chatted over email, but when we met in person, her passion for her customers was crystal clear. She made planning the event even more exciting!
The event was yesterday and it was a blast! Meghan and her colleague (I'm sorry, I forgot his name) were simply fantastic. He was our "axepert" and really took the time to teach the team and even provided 1:1 help when needed!! They felt like part of our team and everyone had great things to say about them. The tap wall was a hit, the axe throwing was thrilling, and the axe throwing games were outstanding - a real crowd-pleaser!
As someone who’s worked in the service industry and an axe bar, I can vouch for how amazing everything was. Kudos to the ‘Hold My Beer’ team! If you’re looking for a place to host a private event, group outing, or even a date night, this is your place. ‘Hold My Beer’ is the spot for a...
Read moreMy husband and I walked by “Hold My Beer” after dinner where the modern rustic atmosphere and intrigue of ax-throwing drew us inside to see what it was all about. The staff was very welcoming and friendly as they explained the “beer wall”, menu, and free board games we could enjoy while people-watching the ax-throwers. We decided to give it all a whirl and signed up, starting with the beer wall, which also offered wine, local cold brew coffee, and other nonalcoholic options. You pay by the ounce so it was easy and cost effective to sample different things. Onto our brief ax throwing orientation, they covered safety first, then some tips and practice, and then we were on our way. We had our own ax throwing lane with a table for drinks, popcorn, and a place where I could store my shoes (they game me clean crocks because I walked in with heels). My husband and I had a blast! We could be as forgiving as we wanted by allowing several tries to stick the ax before locking in our scores, which I definitely needed. Once our hour was up, we stayed for a friendly, free game of foosball before calling it a night. All the while the staff checked in, offered tips, and shared in our excitement when we made a good shot. Long story short, 4 big...
Read moreThe service here was great with Steve and he was very pleasant when we visited. The entire experience was great and although I didn’t really think I would be in to axe throwing it was a fun time. We were walked through how to use the system and also how to do the axe throwing which was decently easy to pick up on. We won’t be professional axe throwers any time soon, but we had fun and felt like everything was safe while throwing. They have different games you can play on the axe board so that made it fun to bounce between the different games.
The pretzel here is nothing short of awesome! Very very buttery, huge, and the sauces make it even better. The pretzel likely could be split between 4 people so we weren’t able to finish it but it was hard to stop since it was so great. I would come here just for the pretzel alone. They also have a nice alcohol selection including self taps for beer by the ounce making it easier to try things before you get a full beer. The cocktail I got was pretty good too named after a local patron. I recommend stopping in, you will likely be...
