Moda Bella Salon and Spa — Local services in Kenosha

I lift and tint my own lashes, because it is expensive to have them done in a salon, but I have been having a really stressful few months and wanted someone else to do it. Out of all of the reviews I have read (back to 3 years; after the fact) there is only one in regards to lash services, so I am not sure if it is a popular service or not. I also don't know how difficult it is to do on another person, as I have only done it to myself. I'm not trying to vilify anyone, and I'm not showing pictures unless it is directly to someone who works there.

At this point in the review one would have to go out of their way to read the rest of it. I...am distraught. I have long, blonde eyelashes, and I just wanted them to be lifted so my eyes don't seem as downward. And tinted, because they are blonde. These are things...I have accomplished many times before. I think she used a lift pad that was too small for my eyelashes, because...NOW...my eyelashes look short :) because they are c-shaped :) It is like they were curled around a pencil :) And in addition to this, the entire base, half of my eyelashes on both eyes, were still blonde. My lower lashes were barely even tinted, and also had blonde bases. The tinting part mattered less, because I just fixed it when I went home. I don't know what I paid for there.

This was yesterday, and I have been so upset I can't even call MB. I have tried relaxing them on my own BUT THEY ARE STUCK. I don't want to go back and have them relaxed, because what if it gets messed up? I can only perm my eyelashes so many times. I put on mascara this morning to see if it helped, and then proceeded to cry it off. I paid almost a hundred dollars for my lashes to 1) not be tinted (it was very obvious once I got home and looked, I don't know how she didn't see...it?) 2) the opposite effect of what people get their lashes lifted for. I cant say enough good things about the building and layout itself, the decor is so classy and it is always clean and tidy here. I never have a problem finding parking and its in a convenient location! Unlike the hustle and bustle of other salons I genuinely feel relaxed the minute I step foot in the unique shop. It smells so good, and has the best waiting rooms and unique modern-vintage style.

In May 2025 I had my Bridal hair and makeup services done here and was so happy about the results! I came to Moda Bella from a terrible prior experience at a very popular Salon in Kenosha. Not only were my services amazing, but the Bridal experience as a whole was fantastic! I felt immediately relieved when coming to Moda Bella from my prior terrible Bridal Trial experiences

Rebecca, the Bridal Coordinator, was timely in her responses and very organized in communication and our bookings. Rebecca was also very kind and attentive to my questions and forthcoming about pricing. She truly made me feel confident in Moda Bella and their Bridal services!

Gabi did an amazing job on my makeup while Mariela did my hair. Both are so personable, patient, and knowledgeable! They’re also very funny and a great conversation. I received top notch service with these two amazing artists. Gabi and Mariela both took their time asking me feedback and giving me space to request any changes as we went along. Both are so kind and light hearted, which also helped me feel very at ease when I had Bridal anxiety not only on the day of my wedding, but prior as well!

I was debating on making a review. But after visiting back home and everyone asking what happened to my hair, I got emotional and decided this can’t happen to someone else. I went to PATTY to get a long, modern bob. With MINIMAL LONG layers. I told her how I grew my hair out for two years because the previous salon (Ruth at Neroli salon and spa in Milwaukee) burned off my hair after bleaching my hair. I told her I was just ready for a fresh start and was wanting to cut all the damaged hair off. She took it literally and butchered my hair, giving me a total chop job. I was in a rush to get home and didn’t notice the damage until after I got home. I did call, and they offered to fix it. The manager did try and feather the layers out to soften the harsh edges but explained I would have to grow it out. AGAIN! That’s hard to hear after I had just gotten done growing it out for 2 years because some else had messed it up. Although they were nice, and hair does grow back...that doesn’t fix the fact I have to walk around with choppy hideous hair for the next several months. This could have been avoided if I wasn’t rescheduled 3 times. I originally had an appointment with the owner, but then they called and said she was sick so I was rescheduled with the manager.
