Small restaurant located in a small strip mall. At the time of writing, they were still not doing in-store dining, but even if Soo, there's only a few tables. Nice variety of menu of some chaat, dosas and variety of usual items. Placed our order to go and it took about 20 minutes, which to get freshly made, was fine by us. We drove back to eat, which was about 25 minutes away. My wife is a butter chicken fan so wanted to try theirs. Big hit and I tried a bit and thought same. Nice developed flavors and felt the spices were more vibrant that many other places. I would probably rank in our top 5 now of places for that dish. We had garlic Naan that was well seasoned with garlic and had nice flavors and texture, but was a little greasier than we cared for. We got vegetable pakoras that were very good and nice amount. I love chaat and measure a place with their paani puri and their papdi chaat. Rolled dice and chose the paani puri. The spiced liquid was good, but I don't know if I liked better than other places. The filling to put into the puffed cracker was good and nice flavor. The downside was about three of my Crackers had small holes which leaks the liquid. And a couple were soggy due to their placing the Crackers and the warm filling in the same container. All the other places I've gotten to go places seperately. I ordered their spiced potato dosa, which was very good. Nicely seasoned. The filling was mostly at one end verses evenly distributed. Not sure if that's normal or not. It came with a small soup that had nice flavors as well. Staff was nice and I think when we are in area will be a place we would revisit. There's several Indian places to choose from, but this seemed...
Read moreWe happened by this place after hearing about it from a buddy of mine. Although if he hadnt said where it was, i might have missed it. It's a bit set back from 104th, so it wouldnt be difficult to miss- dont miss it- you'll kick yourself- because the food here is phenomenal. Seriously. They've a good selection of foods to choose from, for a small eatery and everything we tried was fabulous!
I had the Lamb Masala, and my fiancee had the Lamb Palak and we were blown away with how delicious it was. The garlic naan was delicious, garlicky and quite warm. I ordered a sweet lassi, while she ordered the salty lassi, and they are both very different but very good- it's also worth noting there was a masala tea (i think it was called) that was a hot tea that they provided complementary which was fantastic.
We thought the food was both, appropriately portioned and priced and worth every penny. We will definately be coming back. We had a favorite place we've been going to off of Kent-Kangley for 2 years now- but that place just has been upstaged by Tasty Sweets! Which is pretty good, because i wasnt looking for a...
Read moreWe stopped here for lunch today, and were blown away at the very personal service and the AMAZING food. Everything is spiced beautifully- flavorful and aromatic and complex. Even the rice is perfection.
I had the lamb palak and my fiance had the lamb masala- the lamb was tender and juicy, the sauces were flavorful, the proportions were large, and everything just tasted so fresh. We also got garlic naan, which was fluffier and less chewy than I'm used to- a nice surprise! The complimentary chai was lovely, as well. We also tried a sweet lassi and a salt lassi (for curiosity's sake).
We will definitely be coming back here. Maybe weekly. The menu is diverse enough (although not overwhelmingly large), and the husband and wife who own and operate this place were so friendly. The spice level is definitely geared more toward mild, and they have dishes from regions of India not normally represented, which was exciting. Go- you won't be...
