Pugerudes — Local services in Kent

When we moved into our new home in Trigology at Tehaleh, window treatments were needed for it's many large windows. We narrowed our search to Hunter Douglas blinds mainly for their many options and lifetime warranty and to Pugerudes for their great reputation. It was helpful for us to visit their showroom in Kent to see their many products and options and made an appointment with Jill for an in-home consultation. Jill, who grew up in the business, showed up with a truckload of products and was a wealth of information. With a degree in Interior Design from the Seattle Art Institute, she provided many helpful ideas and suggestions which made our decision making much easier.

Thanks to Jill's husband Dave, the installation was quick and seamless. Later, we experienced more of their top notch customer service when a few problems developed with two of the blinds. Dave was quick to show up and evaluate the problem, make on-site repairs or order new blinds. Needless to say, we have been very pleased with our experience of working with this local, family owned business and highly recommend them.

1/29/21 update: We're giving Pugerudes another five stars for their outstanding customer service nearly a year after purchasing and installing our blinds. Through no fault of Pugerudes, we became unhappy with the functionality of the living and dining room blinds we had chosen. We passed this on to Jill who without hesitation went to work coming up with a very satisfactory solution.

We can't imagine any of the big box stores or other blind companies providing this level of customer service so long after the original purchase and installation. Pugerudes works hard to keep their customers happy!

I needed a couple motorized shades replaced in a house I just moved into. I waited for 2 months after a few unreturned phone calls from the original company that had installed the shades years prior and decided I needed to move on.

I’m so glad I found Pugerudes!! I drove to their showroom in Kent, as it was super convenient and located just a few miles from me. There I met Annie and we discussed my window covering situation. We decided that a home consult was best so I’d get as close of a match as possible to what I currently had.

Annie set me up and Jill came out and did a fantastic job of measuring and matching new shades to the old ones. At no time did I feel pressure for only getting 2 shades vs. a whole house redo.

Annie called to let me know the shades were ready and it was about 2 weeks until I could schedule the install due to my schedule.

Install day came and Alex showed up on time and as expected. He did a fantastic job taking down the old shades, installing the new ones, making sure the remotes were paired up, as well as walking me thru the process of getting the shades set up online to operate via the app or Alexa!! He even packed up all the old shades and packing materials to dispose of them.

I couldn’t be happier with my new shades — love the technology!!! God forbid I’d have to hand crank open or close a window shade!! LOL!!!

Pugerudes is a local, family owned company and their pride and commitment shines thru from everyone I met. Annie, Jill, and Alex were very friendly & professional. The communication has been top notch, they follow up and return calls!! I will definitely look to them again when I need to upgrade more window coverings in my house. We were just finishing our house remodel last summer when we started to look for window treatments. Our furniture had not been delivered, and of course we wanted the style and colors to compliment the remodel, so we knew we wouldn’t order for a while but after talking to Jill Kramer, one of the owners of the second generation, family owned business, Pugerudes, we both knew we would be purchasing our window treatments from her. Jill is a delight and her interior design degree from the UW complimented the wealth of experience she has gained from growing up in the window covering business. When we were ready to place our order our timing was perfect and Jill was able to come to our house the very next day. We had looked at their showroom displays, especially the one that displayed many options for sliding glass doors, so Jill had a good idea of what would work for us. She brought samples so we could see colors and styles in our house. Based on her extensive experience, she advised us on what style blinds and colors would work best for us. We confidently chose color, styles and what needed to be motorized, based on her advise. All our decision making and Jills unbelievably accurate measuring of the entire house for blinds took about 2.5 hours. It took Hunter Douglas 3 weeks to fill our order. The main installer from Hunter Douglas came the next week to install all of the perfectly measured, and constructed blinds. All of his work was perfection, like Jills. His specialty was the motorized blinds. They are some of my favorites because they work so well. We have lived with the blinds for about a month. They look and function like they were always here. We couldn’t be happier....
