Good prices, not much else. It feels like an Outlet Goodwill. The store is kind of a mess, with massive piles of clothes on the racks of the fitting rooms that no one seems in a rush to put away. The store seems to mostly stock the weird and over stocked items from other stores, giving you on average 40% off the MSRP, some times better like a pair of pants I got for $15.99 when the MSRP was $70.
However finding anything you like in your size is a bit of a stretch. You get things like XXL pants in "Slim fit", small in Tall etc. All the odd sizes no one normally wears. I went in for something as simple as a dress shirt and pants for a special event, not a single shirt in my size and only one pair of pants.
The mens department is tiny, as with most clothing stores the women's takes up most the store but Ross also has a pretty large "Stuff" section, filled with random junk. Anything from kids toys to shower hoses, shavers and cooking utensils. Given how little space they have for mens clothes it's kind of sad they spent space on "stuff".
Oh and to finish off your visit despite dozens of staff walking around to say "hi" to you while you shop, there is only one cashier ever open when I go in there. Even if the line is fully wrapped around the feeder area. They have 8 registers, but don't seem to want to ever open...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter (single mother) went into this ross location with clothes vouchers from the state for my very autistic grandkids that are very special needs and don't do Well in public places. Even after explaining this to the worker they would not honor the vouchers because the kids wasn't with my daughter that is not a stipulation or any rule of the vouchers the worker then said "people are abusing the system" and I totally understand that however, my daughter was shopping for for 5 and 6 yr old (so obviously the clothes weren't for her) and the worker told my daughter " see just like this sz7-8 who's this for " my 6 yr old wears sz 7-8 worker called my daughter a liar and then told her to leave store. I know this sounds like there must be more to the story but that's exactly how it went. I'm not sure if it was a racial issue as my daughter is Latino or just plain stupidity and pure ignorance on this ross employee. This young lady should not be working retail she makes this ross location look horrible. We went to tj Maxx down the street and Federal way Ross (without kids) got all the shopping done with no issues at all. Thank you tj maxx and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRoss is really hit and miss. You'll have to go frequently and check for good deals because you never know what you're going to get. You may have to check it out a few times before you find anything worth buying. The selection can be sparse, and things can be scattered on the clothing racks, making it difficult so locate things, especially looking for particular sizes.
Part of this may be because customers don't place the items back on the rack in the right location after they try them on. But overall, the prices are pretty good. It's just not a store for a picky buyer. Definitely stay away on weekends, as it will be pretty crowded and hard to navigate, and customer service is non-existent. The overall feel is like a garage sale. With all of that being said, I can't expect Ross to be Nordstrom's. Shop here if you're ready for a...
