I'm struck by the wildly varying reviews of this place. Personally, I've only had excellent experiences here. I love this store! On my most recent trip here, I had to get some white toilet seats. Glamorous outing, I know. LOL! Anyhow, WHO THE HECK KNEW this would be such a major decision? There was a whole wall of white toilet seats! Wood, plastic, enameled wood, silent closing, potty-seat inserts, heated, various fasteners.... and they all looked the same. Wow, that took a LONG time to decide what to get. On the way out, I decided to check to see if I truly needed the seats (I ordered 3 new toilets online from Home Depot and they haven't arrived yet. I didn't think they came with seats but thought it would be prudent to check). At the Customer Service desk, I asked if they could check on my order (I ordered it to be delivered to the Renton HD). The guy accessed my order number on my phone to look up the model of toilet to check if it came with a seat or not (it didn't). This guy was super nice and took the time to check on this for me. I then thought I'd surprise my kid by getting a car key made for her (she just got her license). The young guy at the key-making station was incredibly knowledgeable (and he was so young, too!), explaining how my car key has a transponder or some sort of chip in it (I'm not a technical person, can you tell???) and he can make the key but it'd cost $70 (it's about $200 at the dealer). Who knew!? I thought getting a key made would be a few bucks. Needless to say, I passed. But I was really impressed with this guy who knew keys inside out and took the time to explain why my car key was so pricey to replicate. Great store, and all the folks I've encountered here were helpful and knowledgeable.

One freaking star. They don't carry 8 foot cedar fence boards. Out of all the home depot's I've been in King county these don't carry the boards. What gives? Lazy workers, slow moving. I thought state employees were lazy. These guys put them to shame on the give-a-crap-meter. 3.28.2025 never thought I would be back here 6 yrs later….. placed an order online and it was shipped from here. My card was charged 3 times plus a refund. That was odd cause I only placed one order. Went online to find the receipts and the website didnt have an actual receipt or a breakdown of it. The orders delivered didnt have receipts either. But it did have Bobby Kichner the Store Manager office number and work email. I emailed twice and called twice and left a message with no response. I called the 866 number I found online and a customer service guy helped me out for 41min and he couldn’t figure out the problem with the website receipts either. But he did help and was able to provide the record for the 4 transactions and an itemized list. To Bobby, stop putting your name on a card for customers trying to reaching out to you with concerns. To Home Depot, I have call records (specially one that took almost 1hr of me being on hold at that kent store, I left a review on your phone survey) as well as email receipts that have still gone un-answered by this so called store manager.

I really like that they have those classes and DIY for kids. They are free and fun. And this is the place if you need anything for your house. But when they have the slogan, "you can do it, we can help", that's not true at all. 97% of their associates don't know anything about the products, don't know how to remodel or fix anything in the house or yard. Most of them are not willing to help or have bad attitude. This is self service store. You have to know what you need. So good luck for finding that 3% of employees who actually have the knowledge and willing to help you. And they should change their slogan to, "You can do it, we can't help.....Sorry, not really"

I really like that they have those classes and DIY for kids. They are free and fun. And this is the place if you need anything for your house. But when they have the slogan, "you can do it, we can help", that's not true at all. 97% of their associates don't know anything about the products, don't know how to remodel or fix anything in the house or yard. One star is way too generous for the horrendous curbside pickup experience I had at the Home Depot in Kent, WA. I am beyond frustrated and angry with the sheer incompetence and lack of empathy displayed by the staff.

First of all, the two associates who were supposed to bring out my order didn't even bother to bring everything I ordered. They were missing 300lb of gravel! When I brought the missing items to their attention by showing the receipt on my phone, their response was, "You're going to have to come inside, I can't read that out here."

Unbelievably, they literally started running back into the store. When I finally caught up with them, they were over at a computer terminal laughing at something. I’m glad the situation was amusing to them. They acknowledged the missing gravel and told us, "We'll bring it out here." The nerve! My wife and I were expected to carry out the 300lb of gravel they neglected to include in our order.

When they came back, they brought bags of SAND instead of gravel! My wife had to clarify that we ordered gravel, not sand. A colleague eventually intervened, and one of the original associates admitted she couldn't find the gravel and was going to substitute it with sand without telling us. Were they planning to "forget" the gravel and hope we wouldn't notice until we got home?

After another agonizing 10 minutes, they finally brought out the gravel. They didn't even have the decency to close our car door and just stormed away. To top it off, they brought a security guard who waited with them, which was incredibly insulting.

I called the store to speak with the manager on duty, but he couldn't have sounded more disinterested. Not once did he apologize or show any intention of addressing the situation. The entire experience was infuriating and careless.

Not a single person ever apologized for this disaster of a curbside pickup experience. I strongly urge everyone to avoid this Home Depot location in Kent, WA. Their incompetence and lack of concern for customers is...

I ordered a Weber Genesis II E-315 grill on 5/18. The in store advertisement stated free delivery and assembly.

It was scheduled to be delivered today 5/24.

I just got a call from the FEDERAL WAY store which apparently was going to process the order despite me specifically going to the Kent store.

The delivery driver was there to pick up my grill but they do not have one assembled.

They can only deliver one in the box requiring assembly.

I am old, I have back pain, and I specifically ordered assembly so that I would not have to assemble it myself.

I have a BBQ scheduled for this Saturday. So now I will have to spend hours assembling something that I specifically ordered assembled.

Calling the store they are unable to locate and ship an assembled grill. They said I could bring it in and they would assemble it for me. But that I would need to haul it home myself.

I specifically ordered delivery because I have a Toyota Carolla. The trunk is not large enough to haul the grill.

I spent just shy of $1000 for thus grill and Home Depot screwed me over. I should have gone to Lowes.

Edit: I am leaving the above review as it shows what I went through, but I want to upgrade the review and update.

The delivery of the unassembled grill never happened even after all the above. I finally was able to reach the operations manager Debbie who went above and beyond to fix this fiasco.

After calling their delivery partners, seeing that the unassembled grill was loaded on the truck yesterday at 2pm and not delivered by 8pm. She said she would make this right and to expect a call at 10am.

At just after 10, Debbie called to let me know that she had an assembled grill being loaded on a truck right now and that I would receive the grill on 20 minutes.

That grill has arrived.

Debbie also price matched the $50 off sale that was posted to Home Depots website.

She went above and beyond to fix this issue so that my BBQ plans for this weekend will not be...

My review is in regard to the delivery and installation, this was easily the worst delivery I've ever experienced. 2 delivery gentlemen showed up right on time then spent no more than 15 minutes trying to install my over range microwave. This new LG microwave is exactly and I mean Exactly the same dimensions as the one I'm replacing. They attempt to install, set it down and say it doesn't fit. They explain that I will need to make cuts to my cupboards for it to be installed. They then proceed to install my dishwasher which after making the plumbing and electrical connection one of them hits start and turns it on, checks for leaks and packs up and leaves. After they're gone I'm searching for the owners manual for the dishwasher because I'm wondering why is it so loud. I call them on there cell phone ( Which is the # they called me from to set delivery time) and he says OH, Its probably inside the dishwasher. It was and so was all the packaging and the noise suppression pad that wasn't installed. All the styrofoam, tape, instruction manual, everything is obviously soaking gd wet. It literally took me 20 minutes to install the microwave by myself, they had hung the bracket incorrectly, which is why it didn't fit. They also left me with 1 bolt instead of the 2 that came with the install package, he did bring it back 11 hours later. I'm incredibly frustrated because we were so excited about our new appliances and it became a delivery and install debacle! The dishwasher is noticeably quieter after I installed the noise suppression pad and removed all the packing materials from inside the dishwasher. The microwave works perfectly after I rehung the bracket and it fits perfectly no thanks to the delivery team. I want my money back for the install of the dishwasher as it was incomplete and I had to complete that...
