
This place was my favorite KBBQ, granted there are not many in the area. I've been here a number of times since it opened, even celebrated my birthday here recently. While majority of the experiences I've had here were great, there's still one experience that's causing me to write a not-so-positive review.
Service depends on your server, some are very attentive, others may not be. On my last visit here, I had a very sweet elder lady be my server and she was quick and made me feel at home so we left her a nice tip.
The issue I have with the restaurant was with payment. We gave them a debit card that they said was not working. Not working in the sense that if it doesn't automatically print a receipt, it doesn't work. Checked my bank account and it reflected the charge. But because their machine wasn't working the way that they know it to, they said they couldn't accept our payment and to pay with cash instead. Fine, except for the fact that it's already starting to reflect on our bank app. The employee said, "If they take the charge, then you can call us back and we will settle it". And us trusting this place that we enjoyed eating at many times, essentially paid twice. Once with our card, and then with cash, + nice tip. I'm thinking, okay if in a few days, the charge still goes through, then we'll dispute it. The charge does go through so we contact the restaurant. They get back to us via text and suggest we attempt to dispute it and to contact them again if it doesn't go through. We call our bank to dispute the charge and at first it seems like it was going to be successful. Month later, the dispute is randomly unsuccessful because we don't have any documentation. I contact the restaurant for assistance on the issue but they haven't responded to it.
Oh well, not a big deal because luckily there is another KBBQ and hotpot opening soon so I'll be going there...

I didn't love having to take the order from my whole table since that's why we have a server.
Next, I only had one refill on my pop for the entirety of the meal. The server only came by three times the rest of the meal, and it was over an hour before he came back the first time.
I was only able to get more food one time because our server didn't come by very much after our first set of food came out. We didn't have any silverware for half of our table so half of us were eating while the other half didn't have chopsticks nor forks until one of us eventually just got up to grab them ourselves. The server came by eventually and got us some chopsticks, but I had to ask 2 different people first.
Out of the 12 of us, 3 of us had been to KPot before and all 3 of them told me about the night and day difference in service between KPot and KingPot.
Our table was never cleared at any point of any empty plates so it was just an overwhelming amount of dirty, empty platters.
Nothing was explained to us on how anything worked as it was most of our first time doing any hot pot or Korean bbq, let alone our first time at KingPot.
The server even forgot to come back to take my bill and a different person came back and noticed my card sitting.
Our server was kind, but was way too busy so it made for a very negative experience.

But the worst of it all- which really makes or breaks your experience- is the service. We had the worst service we’ve ever experienced. Our server, Tori, was extremely unfriendly and cold. When we got to the table she never asked us how we were doing, or if we have been there before. She just introduced herself and asked us if we were ready to order. Now we are regulars so we know our orders, but what if we still wanted a minute to look over the menu? What if we were not regulars and needed an intro to what hot pot or KBBQ is? She asked all of this as soon as we sat down; we didn’t have a minute to even taken a jacket off or get settled. In addition, she never took our drink order and after taking our order, returned with two glasses of water. What if I wanted to drink something else? Throughout our meal, we felt rushed as she would awkwardly walk by for no reason or stare at us from the kitchen while she was texting and scrolling on her phone. She never smiled at us once or made us feel welcome. And when she would return to ask us if we wanted anything else it wasn’t a “can I get you anything?” It was a “do you want anything else?” In a hurry up I want you out of here way.
