An extremely negative experience that I feel others should know about.

I hate to have to do this, but I am extremely hurt by what happened to me when I visited the store yesterday. I am extremely upset to have essentially been tracked down and accused of stealing....and I will not be returning. I have been coming to this store for over a year because I live nearby and have found some great items. I have recommended it to a lot of people I know, and have even had family drive from out of town to purchase large pieces of furniture from them. I go to the store frequently, and decided to run in before doing some grocery shopping at foodlion next door. They had some men moving furniture around and were busy directing where it should go, so I decided to browse and mind my business. I found 1 shirt I liked and decided to try it on. The movers were near the fitting rooms so they asked me to try it on in the bathroom on the other end of the store, totally fine. Unfortunately the shirt didn't fit, so I proceeded to put the shirt back where I found it and leave the store. I didn't waive goodbye because they were still busy moving furniture. About 10 minutes later, halfway through grocery shopping, one of the women that works at the consignment shop approached me, asked my name and where the dress I tried on was. I was in shock from being approach, asked if she meant the tank top, she said yes, and I told her I put it back where I found it. She left quickly, before I even had time to process what had happened.

I understand businesses have theft and trying to prevent it. But to track someone down in a different store and confront them in public before checking to see if the shirt was still at the store? I am baffled and extremely offended. I am in my 20's and work from home, so I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. My only conclusion as to why this happened, is that an assumption was made by me minding my own business in the store and my appearance. When I had realized who she was, my crazy mind thought that maybe she was going to apologize for not being able to talk much in the store, they are usually very kind and personable. But no. I was essentially confronted infront of others in a grocery store of stealing a shirt.

I am hoping to hear a response from this post and will update if I do. It’s a shame that this has happened with a store I have enjoyed going in many times, but I felt I should let my neighbors know, and this was the best way to do it. I would have a hard...

This is a fabulous consignment shop located conveniently off the I40 and Union Cross exit in the Food Lion shopping center. There are tons of great clothes, shoes, boots, hats. There is custom made jewelry and consigned pieces. There is also an extensive furniture and home accents area in the same location. I found many appealing items and the prices are very reasonable. The store is very clean and well-maintained with the ladies in the store being very helpful. I cannot wait to...

I heard both women talk about a customer in a very not nice way. The lady was older and just needed a little bit of help. She spends 48$ in your store then you had nerve to speak ugly about her. And oh yeah while BOTH of you were talking about the sweet woman other customers needed help but you were to busy meaning mean girls. Grown women being mean girls. Makes me sick and I hope no one ever buys anything else...
