Very recent experience as of 7/30/23! I am infuriated and want my $33 back (for just two plates!) but I know these crooks aren’t going to refund their patrons. So I am here to leave an honest google review on how awful this place truly is.
Called the order in at 7:59p and arrived around 8:27p. They had not even began cooking my food. Not sure why either. So my infant daughter was screaming the entire time while I waited for them and they had no other patrons. Should have been a red flag right there.
We ordered Sesame Chicken Lo Mein and a Tofu with mixed vegetables and steamed rice plate. Both plates were swimming in so much sauce it was not even edible. I have never seen brownish-black Lo Mein noodles in my life. They had a very suspicious after taste. The Sesame Chicken was GRAY! It was not crispy at all and was mushy from swimming in sauce on the ride home. The flavor was awful. Everything had a suspicious after taste. The egg roll was said to have chicken in it but it was definitely pork or some very pink chicken. Or cat. Yeah, probably cat or someone’s dog. The chicken did not taste like chicken at all! That egg roll was extremely sour tasting and disgusting. I had 6 family members over that night and they ALL tried it and could not get over 1) how disgusting the food was and 2) the fact that it costed $33 for two chinese take-out plates. I could have paid a little bit more and just ate at Arigato in town for that! Let me save you the heartache of throwing your money down the drown. DO NOT EAT HERE. I also began coughing really bad after several bites and called it quits. We ended up going to McDonalds across the street and accepting our $33 loss and I vowed I would get on Google and warn others to not make the mistake I made! So, overall breakdown:
-Gray mushy “chicken” … aka cat/dog -Swimming in way too much salty sauce -Dark brown/black “Lo Mein” noodles that taste like butt -Tofu mushy and swimming in too much salty sauce -Chicken egg roll definitely not chicken, potentially “pork” and very sour and off tasting -Had no customers and didn’t even make my order 26 mins after the call was placed -Overpriced at $33 for two disgusting...
Read moreI have been coming to this establishment for many years.I've lived very close to them.So this is often a restaurant that me and my family frequent. Today, after getting off of work, I went and I made a purchase the same thing that i've always gotten when I got home me and my family sat down to eat and realized that the food tastes drastically different. It was horrible.Nothing like it's been in the past, to the extent that we assumed that it was actually the wrong type of food. Not thinking anything of it, I called the company to let them know the food didn't taste quite right today. I explained that I would like it if they made my chicken over as i'm used to what they've prepared previously. They put me on hold for fifteen minutes. then the chef came back and told me that he would make the food, but he needed my food back.I'll explain that.I was home and that was a real inconvenience. But my husband was in the area. With apprehension, he said, okay, and decided that he would prepare my food again and allow my husband to pick it up. Two minutes later, his wife, i'm assuming, called me back and told me that I need to bring the food back and I can come get my money back. then she continued to say, I can't have free food. Insinuating that my attempt was to manipulate them to get a free order of chicken. I Explained that the chef had already agreed to replace my chicken, and she said, no.You need to come here and give me the food back. I have never been so inconvenienced.I have never been so mistreated.I will never return to this restaurant and I suggest that you stay...
Read moreDon’t let all the mixed and negative comments fool you. We are a family of six and this is by far our favorite Chinese take out in town. We’ve ordered our here consistently at least biweekly for the last 3.5 years and have never been let down. Yes it does taste different then your typical carry out chinese but not in a bad way, kind of like their spin on the dish. One reviewer commented their chicken wasn’t real chicken? Silly. The general tso chicken which is my favorite item anywhere chinese is a different take on the sauce but I do love it. Let’s say this place doesn’t taste like mall chinese and maybe that will help some? We love the dumplings, we love crab Rangoon’s, we love the spring rolls, we love the general tso chicken and we love the lo mein. Basically that’s our normal order.
I can’t comment on the buffet but I probably would agree that it’s lackluster. Myself and my wife are NOT a fan of buffets in the first place so we never eat at any buffet I mean never ever. Botulism....nough said.
Don’t knock these guys y’all they are family operated and I truly believe the food...
