Atkinson’s Market is decent place to stop and shop for any of the little things you need. You would be better off buying the groceries you need in other cities like Idaho Falls or Twin Falls as you’ll pay resort town prices here. The selection in each category is minimal. However, they have done a good job at cramming what they can into any space they can. The store isles are narrow and you’ll spend as much time navigating around people as you do looking for your product. From the produce selection to the deli, they have a lot of offer. There are other conveniences like a Redbox stand, firewood, and local “Sun Valley” all natural and organic products. so, you have a sign up by the deli that says ‘create your own sandwich’. aunt and i decided to get a fresh sandwich rather than one which has been sitting in the cooler. one of our first mistakes. employee who i assume was too busy doing whatever redirected us to a cooler which had pre made sandwiches which is not what we had requested. he’d gotten upset over the fact that we’d wanted to get a fresh sandwich. in a passive aggressive manner, after we affirm our decision that we’d like a fresh sandwich, he takes our orders and then proceeds to make them. sandwich was good. service, not so much. i don’t get why you’d have a sign up for making your own sandwich if you decline a customer the service. probably had a spit sandwich that day, but...

Two associates made my service animal and I leave. My service dog had her vest on clearly stating she was a service dog. She was behaving appropriately of course. I told the associates she was a service dog when they asked me to leave. They told me “only service dogs with owners who have VISIBLE disabilities are allowed in the store”. I responded that not all disabilities are visible. One associate then asked me for proof of my invisible disability. Of course I do have proof, but it is against the law for businesses to ask that question. Your store can be in a world of legal trouble if I choose to report this incident.
