Sep 20, 2025. Thank you to Leslie, Jen, Capt Ricky, Capt Mike, Capt Young David and Magnus. Capts Corner is a Top Notch Dive Charter for USS Hoyt Vandenburg _ its a Great Dive Trip / great Boat , and the afternoon Dive @ Lighthouse Reef. Awesome , helpful, friendly supportive staff. They use a Newton 46 Dive Boat which are spacious, stable safe, twin diesels. They load the Boats Yeti cooler up with ICE so you can bring your Lunch and Drinks to keep cold. They also filled the Boats Water Tank which you can use at the end of the Dive for a Shower and rinse your gear. With shampoo and conditioner as well for said On Boat Shower. Extra gear is on board in case yours fails or you want to rent. Even extra sunglasses if you didnt bring yours. At the end of the day, talk to Leslie for a shirt or rash guard & Capts Corner Swag. Recommend whole heartedly and will return soon before i leave FL to Dive the Vandy Boat again. FYI, current Parking for non locals : the lot right next to Boat is $60 for 10 hrs , i arrived at 0730 hrs and parked there. Check in starts at 0800. Leslie recommended to drop off gear at Boat, then Park 2 blocks away in the street, NOT in a street "resident permit" spot. You can use a bicycle or walk back down to the Boat. I plan on returning in the mext month or so. GO DIVE the...

I recently had the opportunity to take a refresher dive class and then dive with Captain's Corner Dive Center. First Leslie, the owner, was extremely helpful when I first called to find out about diving with the shop. Setting up the dives and refresher class was very simple. The refresher class (required since I had not been diving in more than two years [notwithstanding 50 years of dive experience]) was easy and straightforward. My instructor, Tony, and ultimately my first day dive guide was very easy going. The two reef dives I went on with him were very nice. The next day I dove the Vandenburg with Derek. This is a more challenging dive as the ship is resting in over 120 feet of water. Derek was extremely thorough in discussing the dive and going over our dive plan before we reached the site. The two dives went exactly as planned. Derek knows the wreck well and showed me some extremely interesting parts of the wreck. I will also point out that the crew and other dive masters/guides on the boat were really nice and very helpful. All in all, two really good days of diving. I would dive with Captain's Corner again. I also highly recommend Derek if you are up for the challenge of...

An incredible and professional and fun and organized and competent organization. Derick Bardini was/is an amazing instructor that takes his craft and safety seriously while ensuring that you see the best Key West and the Vandenberg has to offer. His openness as a communicator and his depth of knowledge is unparalleled and one would be lucky to have his as an instructor. Pre-dives checks were spot on and he was always there literally and figuratively point you in the right direction. Of course, the crew/staff/captains were safe and constantly helpful and there to ensure everyone had a good (and safe) time. Amada was always on the spot to run a clean and smooth operation, and Ricky was a enjoyable captain that made people feel welcomed. Conversely, some dive shops dont allow you to make eye contact with them - and make you start and end your sentences with 'Sir.' Not this team - they're fun, enjoyable, safe, relaxed, organized and on the spot. Also Jennifer and Leslie were organized flexible helpful with last minute arrangements via the phone. They were straight and clear and communications were...

Sometimes I worry about booking what seems to be a bigger operation but this dive shop was dialed in to a T! There wasn’t a single point where we didn’t know exactly what things cost, where we needed to be, etc. This was a full service diving experience. We hired a guide and got to work with Derek to dive the Vandenberg and, as someone who’s a professional diver and been diving for over 20 years, he was the best guide I’ve ever had. He provided a thorough briefing, took us on an amazing tour of the wreck, and even captured some great go pro images for us to take home. We liked him so much outside of a tip we’ve already passed his name on within our diving community. The crew and captain were all stellar. My only suggestion to make it better would be to provide some fruit or something in between dives but they did have a cooler and water for you to use, it’s just a nice touch at other diving outfitters.

Captain's Corner is a great group to dive with. Upon first arriving at the boat they were very welcoming. Ricky our guide got us situated very quickly and helping to analyze our Nitrox bottles with us there to verify what we were diving. On the water, the captain was very engaging and concise with their briefings making us feel very safe. At the Vandenberg, the visibility was a decent 10 to 20 feet with slight currents to work against. Going against the current on the opposite side of the ship and drifting back on the opposite side made for a nice comfortable dive seeing a large Goliath Grouper and a few Barracuda along the way. Can't wait until tomorrow on the reef! Happy to dive with the Captain's Corner crew!
