Divers Direct — Local services in Key West

I very much enjoy spending money at divers direct but the one kn key west has the worst customer service employee. I went in yesterday because it was finally time to get a mask and snorkel for myself. The way I understood the signs is that is you tried on a mask that you have an employee clean it off. Well I opened a couple of masks because the ones that were kn display looks disgusting and when I went to Emily for help she was incredibly irritated that I had the audacity to open the factory sealed masks and tried them on. Well if there were actually employees watching and trying to make the sales you would have seen that I had been down the isle for more than five minutes looking at the disgusting displays and wanted a mask and you could have come to help me. So now that Emily is mad about the fact that I tried on masks and told her about the two I tried on she then is just trying to sale the mask that was already opened and tried on she didnt even care to make sure it was the right fit. Just move on and get the snorkel and go was the feeling I had from her. Now she also tried to sell me on other items that were good but the attitude was so off putting. The icing on the cake, I came in with a small group and when one of our friends tried to ask her questions about mask while already at the check out line she is a snippy "B" to him. I am so upset that I spent $100 for very poor customer service no real help on mask fitting so who knows if it is the right fit for me. I know want to go to the location in Key Largo and make sure that what I got is...

I took a speargun band to the Key West divers direct today to be replaced. Being new to spearfishing, I thought mine was worn out. The resident spearfishing expert was put on my case and sent over to assist. He told me that the band was showing a little wear n tear but was still good for a few more trips. Instead of selling me a new one that I didn't need, he was honest and helped me out. He showed me that they did indeed carry the one I needed and told me that it would be there when i'm ready for it. He then offered up some great advice about spearfishing and let me know how to properly maintain my equipment. I learned a thing or two... You don't get this kind of service from an online store (or really most any sporting good stores). This dude was top notch and he represented his shop well. I will be back for all my diving needs....

Top notch service at this shop! I live in Minnesota. I happened to stop in to this shop when I was vacationing in Key West with my wife. They had a great deal on a bcd, regulator, octo, computer combo, and also offer financing, which is rare. So i decided to buy the whole set. John was extremely helpful. Because we were vacationing, they also allowed me to use the gear on a few dives the next day, and would still ship it back to Minnesota free of charge.

Once I was back in Minnesota, I realized I would be better off with a cold water regulator, one that's set up for less than 50 degrees F. John offered to let me exchange my regulator, assembled it, and shipped it back in time for me to dive the next weekend in 40 degree water. Could not have asked for...
