I don’t normally write reviews. I guess I should more. I live in Asheville, NC and am on vacation here in Seabrook Island. My city and home just got absolutely destroyed by a hurricane, and I was very concerned about getting a few important prescriptions filled before I went home the next day, not knowing the status of pharmacies in my home town. I had never been here before, but my doctor was able to quickly call in a difficult prescription and they filled it in under an hour. Not only this, they were able to pull up my out of state health insurance information online before I got there, and by applying this as well as a coupon found by them left me with zero copay on a $400+ drug. Lastly, after a day dealing with phone systems manned solely by infuriating, unhelpful robots, it was AMAZING to deal with a kind, friendly, helpful real person. I wish I had known about them before I lost almost all my sanity with...
Read moreMy daughter recently read a book that takes place in the 1950s so we planned a day trip around eating at the soda fountain at Vincent’s Drugstore. We arrived just after 2 PM within their weekday open hours. Upon our arrival, we discovered that it was already closed for the day. The female employee near the door informed us that the soda fountain actually closes at 2 PM, but the online hours have not been updated and still say 3 PM. That is not my concern as disappointing as that was for my daughter, it was the manner in which the employee shared that information with us. She was completely short with us and shared no empathy as to the fact that we had traveled two hours to get there and have a meal at the soda fountain. No apologies or concern for the error…in fact she seemed happy to turn us away. Horrendous customer service… Which is an absolute shame because the place itself is just beautiful. Very...
Read moreThis place has the worst customer service I have ever seen. Staff will not make eye contact or greet you to take your order. I stood at the register for several minutes while the staff stood two feet from me at the register and not once did she ask me what I needed. I’m sorry but if you are in customer service working at a restaurant, it will be necessary that you SPEAK to the patrons. When you get someone to take your order beard you will not be able to hear or understand their response because not mumbling would be too much to ask. Do yourself a favor and use the cute stools as a photo op if you must but get your food at the service station down the block and your ice cream at the other side of the shopping area. You’ll save some money as well as...
