UPDATE: response to my honest review is that I was never there according to Alberts. Classy. I have been to there location on multiple occasions including their giveaway events after mail invitation… received an appraisal and a quote to turn in gold that they melt down on their end as explained by Angie verbatim. Missed the principle of my review regarding informing people about their scoring methods prior to appraisal. There was no form or $90 charge mentioned despite response. I wish there was. I would have passed. Angie, the owner, and her assistant, assisted me.
Be careful. I brought in a gold pendant for appraisal that was handed down to me as a gift from my grandfather and has sentimental value to me to confirm karats and value and although im aware there are different methods of appraisal… it would be common sense to either ask if a piece of jewelry has personal or aesthetic value or to at least disclose that the method they use will require scratching. Again, there are different methods of appraisal so if scratching is method being used that should be mentioned up front seeing as “they are the experts” and they did give other operational information up front but left that out. My gold pendant is now scratched significantly affecting aesthetic value and the scratching itself runs off through the edge of the back of my pendant as opposed to scratching the center away from edge. Thats careless and unprofessional. I spoke with Angie and another woman with red hair and glasses performed the appraisal. As a manager myself, it seems logical to mention that up front and let the customer decide. Some people may not want their jewelry scratched and prefer to refrain upon notice…....
Read moreLast night, the nose pad of my glasses broke off at the weld. I called my eye doctor, and another eye doctor with a lab, and they both said to call Albert. I called, and Albert picked up the phone himself. I explained my situation and he happily told me he could fix it. But wait, there's more. My glasses cost $8000. That's not a typo people. I asked if he'd still be willing to work on them. He told me it wasn't a problem. But wait, there's still more! I can't function without my glasses. I have a pretty significant visual impairment. Albert told me that if I came to the shop right then, he'd get it done while I wait. When I arrived, he greeted me, looked over my glasses and went right to work on them. He had them fixed in less than 20 minutes! When he had finished, he had every right to charge me triple what he usually charges, and I would have been ecstatic to pay it, but he wouldn't take any extra than his customary amount, even after I begged him to! The service I received today was above par for any industry. Albert went way out of his way to help me, and I can't thank him enough. Five stars isn't near enough for Albert's Jewelers! Thank you Albert for your customer service, and your quality...
Read moreI LOVE my experience at Albert's Jewelers. My grandmother passed and I inherited her diamond ring. It was circular, beautiful, but I still always referred to it as my grandmother's. I wanted for our 10 year anniversary to use her diamond as the upgrade, but change the setting and band to come up with something she would adore, add my personality, and be a classic heirloom piece for my family in the future. Shawna was so helpful with my 500 questions. I told her my ideas, she let me look through a book as well as some samples in store and followed my thinking on combining a delicate band I loved, as well as the band that had leaves with diamonds, and the setting from a 3rd ring that added a scalloped halo effect to the center stone. She did it y'all. She combined these three rings I loved into one. She sent me the computerized design to approve, I then paid the deposit, and it was back with my center stone set and appraised within 4 weeks. I'm so happy she was honest about what would look good and helped my ideas become reality. The picture doesn't do it justice. She's great! Highly recommend! I wanna do this with...
