So I came here for the first time based on the raving reviews for Tess- it was a mistake. Not only is the color way off, but the cut is horrible as well. When you tell a stylist that you are trying to "grow it out," you shouldn't see inches falling to the ground. I just had my haircut 5 weeks prior, so I know it didn't need to be cut that much. Some blending would have made it a little better, but hey if she cant blend roots properly- how could I expect her to be able to blend a haircut properly? The worse part of the entire experience is when I tried to explain to her what I didn't like about it, and she got defensive and argued with me instead of offering to fix it. Not only that, but I was still charged in full for a botched hair job. I have had bad hair before, but at least the past stylist was nice enough to try to make it right. Maybe she is too busy now to care about quality... Regardless of what others say, I do not recommend Tess if you care...

Liz is a phenomenal stylist who I’ve depended on for years and she has more than earned my complete trust. Her coloring is always flawless no matter what I throw at her. When you’re in her chair you have her full attention and her inviting demeanor makes it really easy to discuss what you’re looking for. You can rely on her to always ask clarifying questions to ensure she knows exactly what you want. It’s clear that her main priority is for you to love it. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier and her work speaks for itself.

Liz is a true professional. She is reliable, skilled, knowledgeable, consistent and incredibly fun to work with.

Also Belle Marie Salon is such a beautiful and intimate setting how could you not feel special while you’re there! I could not recommend Liz or Belle...

I just moved from the SF Bay Area to Seattle and have not had my hair done in like 9 weeks. I found this salon based on the reviews (and it is near me), and the atmosphere is really pleasant and it was easy to book an appointment. Staff and crew are nice, the prices are reasonable.

In defense of Tess: When I found out she was my stylist I was nervous after reading the last review, but I have to say, she did a beautiful job on my hair. My hair is not easy to work with, it is fine and wavy/curly, so you have to get the cut just right.. She did my hair last night and not only was the color perfect (she did not have notes to go off of from my previous stylist) but the hair cut is really adorable. She is super sweet, too. I highly recommend her...
