Marina Park Public Beach — Attraction in Kirkland

I say this a place is okay because I'm really disappointed that they took so away so much of the public beach to give it to the dogs. The dog park is bigger than the play area for the kids. That's ridiculous. You get half of a park that's for people to dogs and then the kids have a few toys to play on and that's it. Why didn't you improve the play area? Why don't you take away some of that big green Hill and make some more parking places so more people can go there? I was really disappointed. I might go back once in awhile. I'm a rockhound and I do like some of the stones I found. I don't find it Alki Beach but it sure as hell won't be during the summer because that parking lot is packed and you have to sit around and drive around to find somewhere to park. What in the hell was Edmond's thinking when they made that...

We are having a pleasant picnic in the shade, listening to crows fighting with seagulls, laughing kids and the sound of a nearby water fountain. I am recharging my batteries while lying down on a blanket, appreciating how the sun picks at me between the leaves of the tree above us and letting the wind gently stroke my skin. This is a moment to remember. :)

Good park for those that do not know if they want some solitude or if they want to see people around them....

My friend Will plays meyboards here. He is truly amazing. I invite everyone to come amd check him out. Take a business card or two and share with your friends. Marina Park is really peaceful. I recommend coming here with the family and letting the kids play on the beach, please be mindful because there is ducks and geese, they might chase the kids, I am not sure 100% though. Ill run and see if they chase me 😅. Will is usually playing here... so friends and family come and enjoy beautiful music and chat with us if you like. We dont bite...
