Occasionally, if you're lucky, you find someone who really loves their craft. I had worked with my old barber for years and I was not looking forward to starting the search all over again in a new city. After sitting in Raiden’s chair that first visit I realized I stumbled on something really special. I found someone who loves what they do so much that it is a gift to the rest of us who get to sit in their barber chair!

Since finding Raiden I've had to travel for several months at a time to really hot areas in the summer months (Texas). I need a haircut and end up going to barber shop chains where I’m usually not super stoked about end results. After I return home Raiden always figures out how to “fix it” for me (much to my wife’s relief 😅)!

Raiden has been barbering my hair since May 2021 on basically a two-week cadence, so I feel qualified and confident in my review here. Raiden is nothing short of the best barber in Puget Sound- here's two main reasons why. First- Raiden listens to you. I have my idiosyncrasies when it comes to how I like my fade, part, shaping around the hairline, etc. I explained them to Raiden, and she delivered on what I asked for. I think Raiden takes notes of your details for repeat customers, so every time you go in, you don't have to explain yourself. In other words, you can build off the momentum of the prior cut.

Second- I never feel rushed in the chair. There is no worse feeling than a barber jamming though a cut to make the next apt. What's so great about Raiden is you can book a "Raiden signature cut," which is a longer apt time. It's been since June that I last had a haircut, and just yesterday, I was asked if I'd recently had one.
