TL;DR: unique flavors, pricey but worth it. They had Pandan and Ube!!!
Parking: street side or nearby garage.
Atmosphere: your typical ice cream parlor, limited seating.
Service: walk in, sample taste, choose, pay. Repeat. (Haha, if only my gut would let me. My heart says yes but the button holding my pants together and dangling for dear life says no)
Menu: Gelato names are basically their description in the case. Dairy free options are labeled.
Pandan Gelato: I love how this was an option! Very rarely do you get exotic flavors like this from an ice cream shop let alone a gelato shop! It had just the right amount of sweetness with a punch of earthy pandan. Very yummy and hit my asian roots just right.
Forest Berry: Wowza this is sweet and tangy. It's a bit too sweet for me but it's very tasty!
Cones: Nothing too special or unique, just your average ol' cones you'd get from any other place. I personally would rather spend the extra money and get 2 scoops in a cup instead of one...
Read moreOMG hands down the most incredible geltato place ever! Takes me right back to my travels in Italy. Its so fresh, creamy and spot on with all their unique flavor options. My absolute favorite flavor is their Thai Coconut! It has the perfect balance of coconut, creaminess and ice cream goodness. I've gone back 2 days in a room for the coconut. Guilty pleasure! Definatley need to get a pint to go next time! My mom tried the pistachio and peach flavors and is in love too. For the price of $5 you get a generous portion of 2 flavors of your choice. The staff here is always so welcoming and helpful I love them!
Plus point is its right in downtown Kirkland so the perfect spot to grab dessert and walk over to the beach to watch the sunset. There is a parking lot directly across from the location and I believe its like $2 an hour from 8am-9pm but free after. Also the gelato place closes by 9pm but there are usually lines still going and the employees are accomdating to...
Read moreThe young owner learned to make authentic Gelato in Italy, and turned his skill in to a great spot to satisfy a sugar craving. The flavors rotate regularly, and the taste and quality are uniformly excellent. The staff is always friendly, although it seems there's a high turnover, as with many quick dining places. A recent remodel turned the left side of the store into specializing in affogato (a scoop of gelato "drowned" with a shot of espresso). Yummy adult flavors pair well with a quality shot.
The only downside is that the spot is popular with young moms, dragging all their children in and selfishly taking forever to let their entitled children decide on what they want. Moms: take your kids to Ben & Jerry. Update, July 2022:. Still wonderful gelato, served by friendly folks. Be prepared for sticker shock, though! It's around $7 for a small, which is two...
