This has got to be the worst business I have ever encountered!!!! Went in last Friday May 31st at around 2:40 pm with a huge bag of clothes. I had never been there however I was walked through the process like normal, I was told it would take 2 1/2-3 hours for them to process everything, perfect, I was called in for work. At 3:42 I received a message that my items were processed to let them know when I would pick up my items. Then every hour I got another message saying the same, then i received a message stating that if I didn't retrieve my items they would be donated in 24hours, so I went on my break and called them at 7:30pm gave my name and to let them know that I was far, asked if I could pick up my unsold items the next morning and asked why I received so many text messages. I was rudely told that when i signed I knew it was same day pick up and if I didn't come get my STUFF by 9pm they would be donated (um the text message said i had 24hrs) their policy message. I said ok I will be there before you close (I had to drive back to Kissimmee from Oviedo) I arrived to the store at around 8:30pm and advised I was there to pick up my bag of un purchased items. I was asked my name, as soon as I said my name everyone scattered, I thought was weird. I showed the girl behind the register my ID and she started looking around for my BTB (black trash bag) she went to the back of the store and was gone for about 3 minutes and came back and asked for help, both employees went to the back for a few minutes and came back and the other girl said, we don't have your items, we must have given your bag to someone else, I said excuse me, she said many people dropped off black trash bags today, I asked how is that possible if you guys keep track of peoples items and verify the contents with the person before you give them a bag, she said well sorry our mistake, I replied “thats not good” she smirked and said “well thats what happened nothing I can do” she then said that I can give her my name and contact info and she will have the manager call me the next day (June 1st) that the manager needs to check the security footage and see who they gave my stuff, call for them to return it, I again asked “if you verified contents of the bag how could this happen and I'm sure someone would've said, these aren't my things” she said “well thats what happened” asked me for my info again, I told her I just gave them my name, showed them my id and the information is on the ticket. She then started huffing and puffing and started shuffling through receipts and said I’ll find it. There were people waiting in line so I just gave her the info so that the other customers could be taken care of. I asked her who was the manager and what time would she be in, she said Gabriela I said ok, I will wait for her call or I will stop by. I was in the area around 1pm the next day and stopped by, I asked for the manager and saw the same employee from the night before, she turned her back towards me and said a few things to another employee who then came up and said that the manager was not in and that she could get my info and pass it along to the manager, I knew there was a problem, I told her I already gave them the info yesterday, I told her what happened again (I was starting to get annoyed) but I apologized and said its not your fault however I now have missing property. She said that they advise not to bring trash bags, I responded, I was not told that, if that was the case, why are my things missing? Why did they accept the trash bag? How did so many people the day before drop off trash bags? She apologized and said she would feel the same way. I again gave my name, phone number and email. She told me only the store MGR and DM had access to cameras, They would be in on Monday 6/3 would review the footage and contact me to return my found items or how they would replace them, it is now Sunday 6/9 and I am still waiting. I'm sure the Mgr has no idea what is going on so If anyone knows how I can locate the Franchise owner I would greatly...
Read moreSo i putting this on here because i just visited the East Colonial location and had a fantastic experience. I typically sell/shop with Platos Closet a couple times a month. Last time i went into this store, for the last time, about 2 weeks ago. I ALWAYS have high end, popular brands/ styles (jcrew, kate spade, lilly pulitzer, topshop, zara, etc.) In this particular visit i had a brand new, with tags, still in the store, Zara dress, perfect for New Years Eve. I just wasnt going to go out for New years so i wanted to sell it i got told that they dont take anything sparkley, the style is not in, and that it was old. Clearly not the case. The East Colonial store bought that dress. My point is that that the store instead decides to buy worn, pilled, used, DIRTY, OLD forever 21 items that are sold for $6. The story i get told when i go in everytime is the generic "certain styles dont sell, sometimes things are old, sometimes its condition" etc. Im a local, i choose to instead drive 45 minutes to get to the other store because i get fantastic customer service and they give me real answers when something is not taken. I dont take it personally when they pass on an item, its not a big deal. What offends me is getting the run around when i am a frequent shopper in this store and they try to low-ball me. I tried repeatedly to give the benefit of the doubt in saying on past experiences that it was a bad day for them, etc. At this point it is clear to me that this behavior is just the standard. If you look me up in the system you will see how much i am there. I have tried speaking with the manager several times, and frankly, she sucks. Ive been in retail management for 7 years and there is no effort to improve customer experience by the management. If youre looking for a GOOD secondhand clothing store, with great service, will recognize their regular customers, i HIGHLY suggest going to the East Colonial...
Read moreI just wanted to write a review about this place, I went to sell a good amount of items and look around the store. They were having a 90% sale and it was not made clear that it was only for the clearance rack since the 90% sale sign was all over the store Therefore me and my boyfriend were very excited and racked up a few items to purchase while we were waiting for our clothing to get processed. When I brought all of my items to check out, the total came out to $75 and I asked the lady at the front if these items would have the 90% deal applied and she stated that they were not eligible for the discount, I proceeded to ask to cancel the transaction any she was very rude and irritated. she then proceeded to say to one of her coworkers “ Can you please Come and cancel this entire transaction” With the most disgusting attitude I’ve ever experienced. I then proceeded to decide that I wanted to purchase one of the clothing pieces, and I said to her “ I don’t mean to upset you anymore. Can I please purchase this clothing item?” she looked at me with the attention of her coworkers on her and said “ You didn’t upset me” very sarcastically and disrespectfully. I brought in great pieces of clothing and they only purchased one hoodie for three dollars, which was absolutely absurd. I will no longer be coming to the store. They scammed me for pieces of clothing that were actually worth buying understanding that they only pay you 30% of the price of your clothing The store, the workers, the ambience, the vibe was absolutely disgusting and uncomfortable. They need to work more on their employees and their attitude. It’s a whole bunch of teenagers working with disgusting attitudes . I am 18 myself , and I work with people and I make sure I do it with respect as they should learn to do. This is a disgusting place would...
