I must say, I don't think I have ever been more disappointed with a dinner show, and I have been to them all here in central Florida. Now just to be specific, the show itself was great. The cast, the performances, everything in relation to the "show" was stellar and all performers should be praised. But with that being said, it was not worth the $224 I paid. More so because of the food, the staff in regards of the venue where the show is being presented, and presentation of the over all restaurant. How can there be only "1" salt shaker available for the entire restaurant??? Not to mention, the restrooms were abysmal. Not cleaned what so ever. 3 of the 5 sinks in the restroom did not work. The floor was dirty and wet, in addition to the 2 handicap stalls being locked with signs that they were out of order (and yes, I am legally handicapped). I am still trying to get over being charged $23 for just a beer and a vodka drink after already paying $224 for premium seating. Which seemed to not even matter as the venue was less than 40% filled and could've just sat in the front as no one from the staff ever came to our table after seating us. I really feel like I left paying waaay more than what it was worth. I usually do not do reviews, but must say I had to because this experience was that disappointing, even with how good the performers were. I have paid less for other dinner shows locally that provided more variety of food, and of much higher quality, in addition to adult beverages being at a waay lower price. Although the show was great, I still left like I over paid for the experience. I know it is very likely this feedback will not be taken seriously, but just had to share so maybe things can be changed to provide a better experience for future patrons so they don't feel the same way. And by the way, it would help tremendously if the add for this show, the emails, etc. advise that the show is located in the Legends bistro cafe as many patrons were lost in the area trying to figure out where the venue was. There is nothing but a 3" foot plastic sign in front of the entrance that depicts the Polynesian Fire show and the building itself does not have the address building number anywhere on it aside from the "Legends" logo. Again, another reason that the price does not justify the complete experience as all other dinner shows own their own venue, or have their signage on the...
Read morePolynesian Fire Luau and Dinner Show in Orlando My daughter and her family were in Orlando on vacation. My wife and I decided to take them to the Polynesian Fire Luau and Dinner Show. It was a party of 6. Here is my review of this establishment. First, the signage on the building was from the previous tenant. The only clue that it was the Polynesian Fire Luau and Dinner show were the Tiki statues on either side of the entrance. Upon entering the establishment, we were given leis and were pointed to where we should go until they call our name to be seated at our table. Their makeshift bar area was still decorated by the previous tenant décor, not one clue that it was a Polynesian Fire Luau. The drinks at the bar were good. This is where the good part of the experience stops. After they called our name, we were seated at our assigned table. I was looking around for a server and discovered behind us was a buffet with people lined up helping themselves to the food. We got in line at the buffet and got what we wanted to eat. There was leaf lettuce salad and the option of two dressings, a macaroni salad, two different types of rice, some sort of kernel corn, chicken and pulled BBQ pork with NO sauce of any kind to put on the meat. There was a selection of tea (sweet) lemonade and water the drinks, these were also self-service. For dessert there was a dried-up red velvet cake that was not fit for human consumption. The food was mediocre at best. Then began the entertainment it was just an okay show. That night after getting home and going to bed everyone in our party got sick to their stomachs. We all got cases of Montezuma revenge. My advice is to stay as far away from this establishment as you can unless you enjoy paying $75.00 a person for a mediocre meal and a middle-of-the-road show. Calling it a Dinner Show is an insult to the other fine Dinner Shows in the...
Read moreSpend the extra 10 bucks to get premium seating. It's worth it to be up close where you can feel the drums and the foot stomps.
Hint: use monster as the code at checkout to save 6%. Not a monster amount but still something.
Save even more by showing up in the parking lot at 7:30 to watch the outside portion free That's right, the final bit of dancing is outside because fire. Also fire. You will miss out on lots though if you don't pay for the show inside. The food is really nice and it is a buffet.
I enjoyed the coffee and the cake. I hacked the cake by drizzling coconut milk from the hot bar on everything. Same for the coffee. Coconut coffee is a terrible idea. Thankfully there are free refills. I had 6. After that amount of coffee I was ready for the stage. There's some audience dancing too so all my caffeine went to work slapping thighs and pounding chest.
The food is good. If you keto, there is spring salad and chicken that has no sugar. The pulled pork is sweet and forget the fried fish because batter. It tastes good but keto folks suffer flavor for health.
It's expensive but very enjoyable. I think the performers all enjoy their part and it shows. They do great on stage and while they might not have superhero abs or carnival performer skills, they are lively and enthusiastic.
I've been to lots of this style show in Hawaii and the islands and I enjoyed this one more. There's more audience participation. The performers respond better if the audience is motivated. Our audience was older and not very mobile or awake. The performers did a great job of creating excitement and keeping things lively. Even the toddlers in the crowd...
