We arrived on Saturday, December 5th of 2020 at about 4:45. As we got out of the car, we instantly got looks because my brother was wearing dark clothing and a skirt. Not the stores fault at all, but this foreshadows what happens in the store. As we actually went inside of the store, my brother was constantly being followed by staff members. Several staff members in the same aisle as him and would move if he did. They were monitoring him and would stand in the aisles and mess with the merchandise to make it look like they were busy. It was extremely obvious they were monitoring as they were constantly staring at him and not paying attention to the merchandise. He texted my mother and her and I went to see what is going on. In the aisle, there were several staff members. We moved around, all three of us, and they followed us. They were making us extremely uncomfortable and there was one particular staff member that would stand at the end of our aisle watching us. He moved with us. We understand it is the holiday season and many people are probably stealing but this behavior is extremely inappropriate as we had done nothing suspicious except dress different. We eventually decided to leave the store without buying anything but before doing so we had asked the man following us why he was doing so. He directed us to his boss. We discussed what is going on, and he explained that the store had to be wary of thieves. As I had previously said, we were doing nothing suspicious. The only difference between us and other shoppers was our clothing. This behavior is extremely inappropriate and a store should not be operating like this. This event made us extremely uncomfortable and my brother had a panic attack once we got to the car. My brother posted a video of the discussion between the boss, and we also have pictures of the man standing at the end of our aisles. You can find the video between the boss and us on Facebook on the profile ‘Hajime Rohde.’ We will not be giving any Hobby Lobby store our...
Read moreThough I think overall the staff and store are wonderful I am very disappointed in management and return policy. I bought some oils that I realized were very poor quality upon using them on my project and the manager would not accept them as return or even a partial refund. When I asked why they do not stand by their products, as I had just bought them two days prior, she said, "its personal preference." Maybe so, still as a customer I am shocked and disgusted a chain store as large as this doesn't stand by products they sell and offer better customer service. I have NEVER had an issue like this at any other chain store regarding returns being opened or used and I was not satisfied. Again, I did not return an empty product, I simply used it sparingly and recognized it was poor quality. Hobby Lobby definitely lost me as a customer due to this poor customer service.
Love stores. So disappointed that taken so long of my older of frames now going on 4 weeks. Was called on a Sunday they were in. Drove 20 miles, gave clerk my rain check asked if give them 15 minutes. "Finally" given them enough time to get my frames. Gal I gave my rain check for 4 frames, she casually walked up to me said my frames not in that they called wrong person??? No apology knowing in wasted and good amount of time for frame of pick up. I just said I drove 20 miles later in afternoon to get my frames that were in??? She actually said maybe a few weeks. I been in store after that check the frame I rain check order spot still empty. Didn't waste time check on my frames order. I "really" do understand the headaches stores having, with shipment mess. Not store or clerk fault, but should double checked order A Lot Better before calling customers their...
