Petco — Local services in Kokomo

I only gave them one Star because I had to in order to leave a review! I scheduled an appointment for my dog this past Sunday for 11:30 a.m. for my dog to get a shave and to be bathed, I got there a little early and was talking to one lady when the other lady walked up and rudely said she couldn't do anything with my dog because he was BARKING a little like I'm sorry that ur a stranger to my dog until u actually come and let him sniff u and pet him I didn't realize that a dog isn't allowed to BARK. And it's not like he was barking his head off he was barking a little here and there nothing to scare anyone! And what really upset me is when I made the appointment over the phone the lady asked me have I ever brought my dog in to be groomed there I told her no I felt she should've said that if I brought my dog there and he started to bark then they wouldn't help me with him. It was just a terrible experience and I will be sure to inform others of the terrible service you guys do! I will never be back with...

Went into the store for fish supplies on a Tuesday afternoon. The store was out of what I was looking for. An employee told me that a truck was due Wednesday morning. They would have what I needed Wednesdays afternoon. I went into the store Wednesday after 5 pm. They had what I needed. It was on palettes. I was told they lost power and couldn't do anything until the power was turned back on. I was given quite a few reasons why I couldn't be helped. I was even told " it's not like we just stood around with our finger up our ass. " The thing here is I have worked were the power was out. We didn't go home. We cleaned and stocked the store room floors. When power was lost during the day. Which didn't happen often. The cashiers used hand held calculators. We still served the customers. I told my husband. With the way this store is ran. We would be better off driving to Indianapolis...

Update: the customer service has improved significantly. They greet you as you come in, smile, ask if you help. Much better than before, so I'll up it another star.

My main complaint would be the customer service. No one ever approaches me to ask if I need any assistance, I always have to ask someone for help. Most of the time I have to go find a person as they are never around. They always act annoyed that I've interrupted them too. I'm in almost every week and it hasn't changed in the past year. I have no idea who the manager is either. You can usually tell by their clothes or a name tag, but not here. I have to go here for certain supplies, otherwise I'd shop elsewhere. I'm just tired of crappy customer service and it's so prevalent in many...
