Went in there a little over a month ago, and wow, worst customer service ever. First I went in there and exchanged a foundation, then I had to remind them to even exchange (since it was a different shade, same foundation.) and then I went in there again, was not greeted and got a couple things I needed, overheard Susan (one of the managers) talking bad about another manager loudly to a trainee assumedly. I immediately grabbed what I needed and headed to checkout. I donāt remember the cashiers name but props to her for tolerating it. I told her to just give the gift card to the next person who checked out because I am ABSOLUTELY DONE shopping at this location. As reviews have said āno one can customer serviceā that is absolutely correct. The managers donāt do anything but drink coffee and gossip or work on schedules, no coaching or development going on. Shame on you guys for allowing this to happen. Also I feel like I am being disrespected since I put an application in for a position I was well qualified for and they told me I wasnāt āqualifiedā then I called and asked to speak to whoever for feedback the person on the phone was giggling and said āwell Julieās not available right now can I leave a messageā so I said yes and guess what, NO CALL! Extremely disappointed in the way this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKenzie from the hair salon dept was asked to help me with selecting a dry shampoo that would be less likely to irritate my very sensitive scalp and skin. She showed me her top pick, explained to me WHY it was and even let me sample its very light fragrance. Then she asked me what else I may need and proceeded to pick out an additional hair product, eye shadow, mascara and a make up brush based on the same sensitivities. The reason this is so important to me is because I have such severe reactions to many things, that I don't really wear a lot of make up/use a lot of hair product. I had been given 3 days notice of an important event and wanted to feel "normal" when attending. Kenzie not only made that happen by showing me viable products and how to use them, she more importantly made sure I didn't feel out of place in a store that was very intimidating to me in the first place. Kenzie was kind, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and considerate of my needs without being condescending. I had an excellent experience at Ulta (Kokomo, Indiana) because of her and I am deeply appreciative. FIVE stars...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently moved to Kokomo and needed to find a new local place that may carry my hair product as I had just run out. The only store in town I found online that carries it ended up being Ulta Beauty but what I didn't expect is to see double the price on the same product. I used to buy the Combo Pack with both Shampoo and Conditioner at JCPenny in Lafayette for $30-$42 depending if it was on sale at the time. But I was appalled to see Ulta Beauty was selling the same size bottles separately for $40 and $42 a bottle. So where as I would pay a max of $42 for both at JCPenny, Ulta was asking I pay a total of $82 for the same exact product! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and walked in asking if Ulta Beauty would price match. NOPE! Ulta Beauty does not Price match what so ever! I will just be ordering online through JCPenny from now on and have it delivered straight to my house, less hassle for me and cheaper! Never Shopping at Ulta Beauty Again! After all now a days you can find anything in store cheaper online...
