We had been recommended this restaurant, especially for their lunch deals. Last night we went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Pricing definitely hikes up for dinner, but I could see why with the cuts of meat related to those dishes and current inflation rates.

Yes, it is a humble space and the staff may not have English as their first language, but we did not feel slighted or ignored in any way.

We came in, waited per the sign, and were told to choose where we wanted to sit. In a timely fashion our drink order was taken and brought to us, food was quick and it was. So. Good!

For context, we are all born and raised Texans and are familiar with tex-Mex and Mexican dishes. No disappointment here!

They don't bring you your bill, you go up and pay. They have your bill already at the register. There is a notice of a service charge for credit card payment, so bring cash if you want to avoid a small additional fee (ours was $1 and some change for a $45 meal for 3 adults.)

Meals: Fried catfish fillet w/ fried shrimp Beef enchiladas w/ soft taco Chicken chimichanga with...

This was one of the original Mexican restaurants that has been here since I moved to Kyle in 2001. I had stopped going years ago because the food was mediocre. Today, we decided to stop in for breakfast. I figured I would give them another shot since I always see the parking lot full. I opted for a taco with eggs, bacon and cheese. I also ordered a barbacoa taco and a picadillo taco. First of all, the bacon was chopped in small bits. I would rather have my bacon in full strips. The "build your own taco" was smaller than some gas station tacos. Not to mention, the tortilla was not even homemade. The bacon tasted burned. They barely put any eggs in my taco. For 3 tacos and a tea, it was over $15. It was not worth it at all. The only good thing was the service was really good. The food is still mediocre. You are better off going elsewhere if you want Mexican food. Sorry Pisces, I am not sure how you are even still open with the quality of...

It's CRAZY how a business could still be open for business. I was charged for a sweet tea and a lemonade separate just because I I ordered an Amapalmer drink. The cash register lady with Star Tattoos, said they served tea and lemonade, so she had to charge me for both drinks. I explained that I didn't get a full cup of each. An Amapalmer is just half tea and half lemonade. If there was zero stars rating on this site I would choose that. Service was the worst. I wanted to know how can anyone treat customers rudely. To begin with food was awful. I asked for nachos with beef and veggies on the side. They brought me the toughest, hard and dry chips. The fajita tasted old and they were extremely burnt. I requested them to redo my order, but they seemed to bring me back the same food. I will Never recommend or come back here. Worst Food, worst service and...

So let me start off with saying that the food was tasty! But the pay scale seems way off compared to other like restaurants around town. I ordered fajitas for one for $15 and a small Chile con queso for $4. The soft drinks come in bottles so no free refills. Also only one free basket of chips per table. Every additional basket is 1.50. That’s a little unheard of. The happy hour drink specials were a good deal. I believe it was $2 for domestics and $2.50 for imports. What rubbed me the wrong way was the notice they had for to go customers. So before you leave, open up every single taco to make sure it’s exactly what you order. It’ll be your fault if you walk out and it is not correct. The sign made it pretty clear that they won’t lose a single penny if they don’t have to. Even if it was their fault.

This is the worst taco experience ive ever had. I ordered the shrimp Diablo’s and they were beyond over cooked to the point of boot leather. I also had a pastor taco, which you might as well scrape the crispy residue off the top of the pan and put in the taco, because that’s what it taste like. Extremely overcooked and dried up to crispy ball. However, the side dish of lettuce was very fresh which to me was surprising. It was disappointing to spend $25 on food and then to throw it away because it was so severely over cooked and burnt. It was also disappointing to see that no one checked it after the left the kitchen. This is a prime example of why you check your to go order before you leave.

The food was great. I ordered the whole tilapia and it was cooked to perfection. The rice that came with the plate was okay. And the french fries were fresh and hot. Service sadly only gets two stars. It seems to me that there might be a shortage of staff. Unfortunately my drink did not get refilled which was sweet tea. The atmosphere is welcoming. However, it can seem overcrowded at times. I would highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a Mexican style, seafood, lunch or dinner. I would definitely be returning.
