Story time. On 5/31/25, we went to Sedano Ford to purchase a car and trade in our Toyota. As weâre having initial conversations, the salesman goes outside with a manager (who we have not talked to) to take pictures and inspect our car. Salesman comes back in and discusses how much theyâll sell a car for, how much they can offer us for our car, etc. As heâs talking, he stops abruptly to look outside over my partnerâs shoulder, we look over and we see our car rolling through the parking lot and then watch it crash into two new Ford Broncos.
My partner and I start laughing and sit there in disbelief at what just happened as a handful of employees go outside to inspect the situation. We knew these guys were now panicking and that they desperately wanted to make a deal work. Our salesman went back and forth still trying to negotiate with us. We werenât being unreasonable at all, especially under the circumstances. We just wanted to get the number down to what we were asking for before this even happened. We were being told about how the dealership needed to make some money off this deal, but when have you caused a car accident and made a profit?
While the salesman is talking/distracting us, other employees go to relocate the two Broncos that were damaged. This was very shady of them because I made it clear that if we canât make a deal, I wanted to file an accident report. I was pretty upset as the situation went on but my partner was content on the offer given. Sure, we took the deal even though we didnât get what we asked for originally before the accident, and Sedano Ford was let off too easy.
During this whole situation, we were only talking to our salesman. Not once did the manager who caused the accident or any other manager come over to acknowledge or apologize for what just happened. To me, this is just very unprofessional and disrespectful. And this is the sole reason for my review, not even for the fact that they didnât even give us the deal we asked for.
Since the deal happened and we traded our car in, we didnât file an accident / police report but we suspect that they will NOT report that the two Broncos were in an accident. The damages were most likely cosmetic, but still. So I guess this is another reason for my review, if you are looking to purchase a Broncos from this dealership, I would just verify that it has not been in a parking lot accident.
They probably took a sigh of relief when we drove off the lot because it couldâve been a lot worse for them. The accident happened and no one got hurt. My issue was with how management dealt with it afterwards, or in other words, didnât...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived at Sedano Ford, our car buying experience was nothing short of spectacular. The sales manager, Paul, warmly greeted us right at the entrance, immediately making us feel welcomed. Before we could even fully step inside, he had introduced us to Louis, who was to be our friendly and knowledgeable salesman for the day.
Our hearts were set on a Mach-E, but not just any Mach-E. We wanted it in Grabber Blue with a black interior, and it was absolutely non-negotiable for my fiancĂŠe that it came with heated seats. Earlier in the day, we had a less than pleasant experience at Chula Vista Ford, leaving us frustrated and a bit disheartened. However, our spirits were quickly lifted the moment Louis took us out for a test drive in the Mach-E. It was love at first drive!
Louis was incredibly patient and attentive to our specific needs and desires. He understood exactly what we were looking for and went above and beyond to ensure that our dream car checked off every single box on our list. His expertise and enthusiasm about the car made the entire process enjoyable and stress-free. After some thoughtful consideration and excellent negotiation on the numbers with Louis, we decided to upgrade to the GT model. It was the perfect choice, offering everything we wanted and more.
The stark contrast between our experiences at Sedano Ford and Chula Vista Ford could not be more apparent. Where one fell drastically short in service and understanding, the other rose to the occasion magnificently. Itâs clear where quality service and customer satisfaction truly lie.
I cannot recommend Sedano Ford enough. Their exceptional customer service, from Paul's warm welcome to Louis's dedication and expertise, made all the difference in turning our day around and helping us find the perfect car. If you're in the market for a new vehicle, especially a Mach-E, look no further than Sedano Ford. They truly prioritize customer satisfaction and go out of their way to ensure you leave happy. Thank you, Paul, Louis, and the entire Sedano Ford team, for an unforgettable...
Read moreMy F150 truck was brought in for a safety recall Monday, July 22, 2024 at Sedano Ford 8970 La Mesa Blvd in La Mesa, Ca 91942. The recall was completed the same day and I took my truck back home. The next day I only drove the truck for 20 miles due to check oil light, low oil light, low oil pressure light; I checked the dip stick before calling the tow truck to barely find oil on the end of the stick. It seems like someone did an oil change on the truck and forgot to fill it; my driveway has no oil nor the parking lot where I got stranded at. I noticed my radio on Tuesday had a weird symbol on the screen and wouldnât play the FM radio.
I know that the recall was to check the speed sensors and reprogram the powertrain control module, but yet I was given a truck with low oil and the radio failing to load.
My complaint isnât about the repairs done on my truck: Oil pressure switch and the slip yoke grease kit, itâs about the following⌠⢠Lacking communication by the service advisor, Carl Knight. Truck was brought in by tow truck on Tuesday, July 23rd to Sedano Ford and he stated that he needed a couple of days to check with the two technicians about the work that was done Monday. Two days later no call/nor update on my truck; I called on Friday, July 26th left a message inquiring the status of my truck (no call back). Monday, July 29th I visited Sedano Ford in person to finally get a response about my truck⌠⢠Lacking a courtesy car; Sedano Ford had no vehicle for me to drive while my F150 remained at the service dealer for repairs. Having the rental car for 14 days cost me $630.00 in which would have been applied towards coolant leaks repairs, but I decline due to my budget was already spent. ⢠Lacking oil in my truck; my driveway has no oil nor the parking lot where I got stranded at. ⢠Radio failed to work Tuesday after Monday recall repair ⢠Taking 14 days to fix my truck
I feel that Sedano Ford caused the lacking of oil problem, non-working radio problem that occurred
I would not recommend...
