Wow I am not surprised what I am reading about this location at all. I thought everything was all good at the time of purchase just to find out that Matt (and from what I read the whole store) is shady and just plain out retarded. I have worked in sales for most my life including retail sales, enterprise sales, outside sales, inside sales and business to business sales. In sales you find a need that your consumer has and provide a solution.
In this case I made it really simple. I had a family share plan with a second line which I no longer needed. I only use about 200-250 minutes a month, but wanted to keep my unlimited text, unlimited data and insurance. Matt told me the lowest plan available for a single line (non-family share) was 700 minutes. He said the total with what I wanted would be $140/month. Ok, makes sense, that's what the prices on the brochure read.
He then proceeds to tell me that they have a special promo that if you try out their home phone device you will receive an additional discount of $20 to make it $120 /month. Didn't make sense except that he claimed Verizon really wanted these devices to get out as a marketing strategy. He said the only difference was that my mobile device would only get 450 minutes, but my home device would get unlimited. I only need 200-250 minutes a month so for $20 less, why not. This was on the 13th of February. We agreed to make all the changes for the 22nd of the same month.
So here's the issues I ran into. Earlier this year my phone had a software problem and would keep restarting and never get to the main screen. Phone was just over a year old so I figured I would just use my insurance if I have to. Turns out Matt failed to insure my phone. This is what I meant by retarded. A customer asks for an additional service (more money) and you fail to charge. The Verizon store in Carlsbad happily warrantied out my phone and added my coverage for the future. There is a great crew at that location.]
I normally call in and pay my bill on my phone without looking at the bill. Well for some reason my bill is always higher than promised so I was used to paying a little more. One day I decided to check out the details of my bill and noticed that I was paying a 1400 minute family share plan for a single line, and $20 for this home phone device. Point being, the total was more than the promised $120. So I called into Verizon to get this fixed. In calling I discover that they had a 450 minute plan all along and now even find out they have plans as low as 150 minutes! I was told that the lowest single line plan was 700 minutes. Oh, and that there was never any promo for this home phone device. I was basically mislead and up sold to something I didn't need.
Well I have to give it to Verizon again because they were quick to fix the plan mishap and credit me back for the failed changes to the plan. It's all in writing in the contract so they really had no choice.
As for the home phone device they said I'm outta luck. I either need to pay a cancellation fee of $155 or keep paying $20/month for the next 16 months.
Instead of me returning the device I am at the point where I will call everyday just to waste the time of their support employees. They will pay them more to listen to me than they will receive for the device they sold me using misleading (shady) sales techniques. It's a shame that a company of their nature does not hold themselves accountable for their actions or those of their representatives, but rather they expect the customer to be 100% aware of their products. I bought the 512GB Samsung S24 Ultra through Verizon ($900 plus taxes included). Customer Service is magnificent. Yet, I Realized Samsung directly sales the S24 Ultra 1TB Unlocked for about a $1009.99 with 650 off included with my S22Ultra Trade in as it is Locked by AT&T) So about $110 dollars more for an Unlocked đ 1TB version đ, is worth it to me. So I took the 512GB back and waited for the 1TB from Samsung. PLEASE BE ADVISED: Samsung doesn't ship this out to have any delivery carrier hold it. There are restrictions, and I missed my delivery twice. If not received by the intended recipient signed and/or by trustee, they will ship back to Samsung! Fortunate for me, I had someone to get it for me as I was at work that week. Anywho, went back to Verizon and Viola, an Unlocked Owned outright Samsung S24 Ultra 1TB, no montly charges on account for phone, no fees, you save for paying up front though it's costly, You can upgrade readily and get your money's worth or so you think as with all things depreciation but these Ultras hold some price hence my trade in. Verizon has been consistently helpful, and though some workers act as distant worker bees, they always mean well. I suggest still going with what's affordable for you as I plan to keep this phone for the 7 yrs of updates Samsung offers. The titanium is grade 2 on S24 Ultra, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is grade 5! Anyway, devices are expensive, so navigate within your means. Verizon has its pros and cons as any company. I don't want to agree with the One-star reviews, but this location sometimes the workers seem distant and if you are not diligent and delve deeper into the fine prints of things, you may find yourself stuck in a buy as I did with the A53 phone when not going back in time though I was warned I had a limited time initially. Update: Went back to the store yesterday. Still cannot get my restaurant phone number back. They called the police and kicked me out from the store. I want to return all the things and get refund but Im not allowed in the store no more. So. Blank!!! With this infinite circle. All worker here can only say ' you have to call this that'. Back to ATT with all new numbers my phone, my wife phone , internet at the restaurant. They even called to the center for me coz I dont work there I am here just to pay money and get service.
Seems like all workers there (Verizon) only have a teamwork there just to kick customers out. One of my customer got kicked out there before too. Please dont hire a lot of workers just to stand and tell customers to call and just keep looking at their face. Worst and worst ever in life of my professional. So so unlucky that I decided to transfer. 5 days of service and shut down my account. Oh even they reported 2 of my iphone 14 stolen too which I bought unlock phone from T-mobile. Now I have to buy 2 stupid phones just to use for now and wait for verizon to undo the report that I called already and they could not do anything they did to me. All the phones are with me did not get stolen at all. Idk what happening to me but this is the worst of the worst ever period.

Omg done within like 2 hours but got delayed coz got even surprised "report two of my unlock phones which both on my hands right now got reported stolen !!!!!!! What is happpppppppppeing to us!!!! My life was fine 5-6 days ago then that Boommmm. Please give me life back I have my people to take care and a business.
