BFF Burgers, Fish And Fries — Restaurant in La Mesa

Complete disappointment. With so many places to choose from I would pass on BFF. I wish I had. I ordered fish and chips combo, shrimp, cheeseburger combo. The fish was soggy. The fries tasted like cheap frozen french fries. The fries and fish were cold. The cheeseburger was the most disappointing of all. What’s the point of having a place to write special requests if it’s not followed, not even read. I wanted a plain cheeseburger with only ketchup- for a kid-he didn’t get to eat a cheeseburger he had been looking forward to. The bread was soaked in mayo and the burger tasted like onions-a smashed burger with pickles, onions, tomatoes, wilted shredded lettuce and mayo was far from what I ordered. The only thing that was worth eating was the shrimp and it was just ok. I called to speak to someone at BFF but that only made it worse. You should know if you have special directions they likely won’t be followed. Zero stars for customer service- really there’s so many other...

I came here wanting fish and chips, upon arrival, the lady behind the counter was more concerned with talking to her friends instead of taking my order. I stuck it out because I wanted fish and chips. After making my order, I figured 30mins would be plenty of time to fry up some large fish sticks and fries. Well about an hour later the same cashier lady asked to see my receipt to check what I ordered. When I asked if everything was ok, she scoffed at me and went to the kitchen area and started making my order! So now I had to wait another 15 mins before my food was ready. Finally it was done and the fish sticks were so over cooked that I couldn’t eat them, and my fries were soggy and cold, as if they had been made an hour prior to the fish. All in all, this place was a disappointment. But you can’t expect much in a food court...

Way better than expected. As a mall food court location you're not really expecting quality. Usually you get fast, and cheap. But flavor and freshness is usually lacking g from food courts.

This location, the service was exceptional right from the walk up. The order took a bit longer than fast food but not unreasonable.

The cost: actually a tad cheaper than you expect from a food court. I would recommend this location for anyone dining in a budget at this mall.

The food: food was all freshly made with real fish in the fish pieces and realy white meat chicken in the chicken nuggets. Both were well seasoned and flavorful.

This is the place for a good meal at a good price while shopping at this mall. I would actually come here just for the fish even with out...
