Normally I would give super one a 5 star. I shopped for 95% of my groceries there BUT I had a very unpleasant experience that has made me decide to no longer shop there. I lost my debit card & I don't drive due to eyesight problems so I've been using my US passport for identification. To write a check. I had done this exact thing twice thar week in the same super one store I currently don't have a driver's license & I can't drive bc I need a cornea transplant. I only had a few items. I was in The express line and the cashier rang up the items I had I had which total less than a $100. I wrote a check handed her my passport for ID and she had never seen a passport so she called the manager over .... He told me my passport was not a valid form of identification that I had to have a driver's license. New/Mr. Manager not not everyone has a driver's license. Long story short he would not accept my check because I did not have a driver's license although I had a valid United States passport. He actually argued with me about it not being a valid form of identification. I told him you could take this stuff out of my cart and you will never see me again. And fellow reviewers or anyone reviewing this I will never step foot in a super one for the rest of my life. I had been there twice the week before I'd wrote a check and I'd used my passport for ID but he would not accept it. To say that A US passport is not a valid form of identification Is ignorance on parade. all I wanted to do was buy some groceries And I was had been a very good customer. They have lost a very good customer over ignorance. So my recommendation is shop anywhere but is anywhere...
Read morePrices are way too high for what they sell you. Example, the meats are choice at best and most of it is value select grade. It is the lowest grade of meat allowed by law to sell consumers and they charge top dollar like it was prime! I compared many products... Every single item was about . 60 cents to 1 dollar more than walmart for every item!!! The only thing that was worth buying were the 6 pack coke products being 2.97 each if you buy 4. I do not like shopping here. I think they take advantage of the people in the area not knowing prime meat vs low quality meats. Im sure of it! This carries over to other products as well. They take for granted these people will buy just because they need it. Every pack of onions in the red net that I bought here, the centers of each onion was bad as if it was old and poorly kept. I bought onions here 3 separate times and it was the same... Soft dark, wet, centers going bad in each onion. Like I said, they are selling to a poor area with #1 crime in the nation so im sure they are distributing the worst foods here... The money just isnt here... No tax base either... It shows and its dying... If the store is going to do that to keep business afloat, they need to sell at an appropriate price point. But they charge more than most on some things and equal to tops on others! Hell even the sour creams I bought were bad! Oh even worse, the candy I bought was so hard and sticky it was uneatable.. I really believe they bring the lowest quality, borderline end of sale dates to the stores in this area! Price needs to be alot lower for...
Read moreThis is the absolute most friendly larger class grocery store. Here's what I like second most about it, the people's attitude is first, like today cashier Gabby saw me let a lady behind me go ahead of me in the express lane, and although she was at the furthest checkout station all the way to the right she had No one else in her line and made a real effort to flag me over to her line. I asked if she saw me let the lady behind me go ahead before me in the express line and she actually had no idea which shows how conscious she is of great customer service. Plus on top of all of this she is ultra pleasant and really fun to chat with as she checked out my things. Kudos to Super One and all it employees but today please please please let Gabby know she really made my day with her genuine care, kindness and the best customer service anywhere. PS Super One is unique in such a great way, its got everything you need but does it without the need to walk forever up and down isles of redundant unneeded products for most or at least me. Bottom line i love shopping there as its a time saver, has all i need in stock, and the employees are ALL the best at making you feel welcome and grateful for your patronage. Please again let Gabby know her attitude and service had me in a better mood than before I walked in. Feel free to reply. Long time customer Raney...
