I went in here to just see about selling some of my jewelry. The older ladies in the back were so rude and I immediately felt so uncomfortable. I let them look at the items I brought and quite literally turned their noses up at everything. I had come in from the pawn shop down the street and the girls there were so sweet and recommended I go here to see if I could get more. I was at this place less than 10 minutes and the ladies said this was stuff I should sell on Facebook because they would give me at the most $20. This was for 6 diamond rings, a pair of earrings and a necklace. I understand that they have to resell it and it’s not even the amount I’m upset about. It was the treatment and how they addressed me. Like I was wasting their time. They were sitting in the back doing nothing. I will never understand how people in retail or anything where you are providing a service to others can get away with acting so cold to people just coming in to ask a question and see if they can help. They had beautiful items, so if you know what you want and don’t care about getting positive treatment at the hands of elderly women, this is the right place. Otherwise, the pawn shop .8 miles away has amazing service and just as...
Read moreNot a place for People of Color. I went there trying to get a diamond replaced in my ring. My diamond is lab grown. I was told that they don't do lab grown diamonds and they don't like them either. The associate that dealt with me took my ring to the jeweler. I looked around while I waited for her to return. The associates there looked so disgusted that I was there and looked at me like I was wasting their time being there. The associate came back with my ring and stated "My ring looks cheap and I should not worry that the diamond fell out. Just take this little cheap ring and act like my diamond didn't fall out." I'm pretty sure she would have never said any of those things to a white person. But since I'm African American (black), it's acceptable to say it to me. I hope their current customers see how they treat People of Color and stop doing business there. It should not matter what color my skin is and if my diamonds are lab grown or mined diamonds. Also, it shouldn't matter if my ring is 10k, 14k, or sterling silver. I spent my money on it, it's valuable to me. My jewelry should not be called...
Read moreAfter my mother passed away, I was left with it overly excessive amount of really nice jewelry. An associate told me about Mr. Durrell. I made the 2 Hour drive and it was very well worth it. Mr. Durrell was absolutely amazing, down to earth, he was compassionate to my situation. He took the time that he needed to thoroughly go over everything, and there was a lot, so it took pretty much all day. He was nothing but courteous and gracious, and I know without a doubt, he gave me the best possible price that anybody could have or would have. By the time I left there, I felt like I had extended...
