Well, if I'm being brutally honest..... IF I COULD GIVE HALF A STAR, I WOULD. THEY DON'T DESERVE ONE! If you have any form of self-worth, do not come to this place. Especially to sell clothes. I wanted to form my review based on 2 aspects of the establishment, so on my first visit, I arrived as a buyer. The snobby cashiers looked like they just jumped out of a Miley cyrus video. I'm talking about the disney show, not her music. Instant judgment as you walk in. I brought a friend too because she has a different image, and I'm used to getting profiled. Sure enough, guess what happens. I get followed around the store like some criminal just because I have tattoos (I'm sure). After the 3rd time, the same girl asked me if I needed help with anything, and I snapped. And walked out. The store isn't even fancy enough for the stuck-up vibe its employees give off. The selling aspect was worse. On my 2nd trip I brought name brand, quality items, freshly washed with no stains and folded nicely in a tote And brand new never worn shoes also in great condition and organized in a tote. Was the same snobby vibe. They had me feel out my info and told me 30 min but within 5 min I had a text saying to go get my things. They said it smelled like smoke even though I took them out of the dryer 20 min before going to the store. I didn't smell anything but dryer sheets. The little stuck up wanna be barbie kept talking over me and I tried telling them I don't smoke and I don't have pets. But she didn't care what I had to say she just handed me my tote and continued to humiliate me in front of the entire store. I heard about this place but to experience it... I'm done. 1/2 star.. if that. HATERS! Well.. that's BRUTAL...
Read moreI shop here a lot and I always speak with the store manager but this time tonight I guess her true stereotype of African Americans showed through. I went in to take a quick look because I left my car running but while I was stepping out I saw a jacket on the manicun that looked cute so I stepped back in the store to feel the fabric and take a closer look. As quick as I went back in the store then the owner just came rushing behind me. She sees me often in her place of business but I guess that does not matter. I looked like a suspect so she treated me like one. I did not see any other person or Caucasian person that she acted that way with. I am shocked. I never see any of her African American employees on a register but you always see them helping to arrange clothing or at the fitting room. If she does not trust them then why hire that race. I am very hurt to feel that the owner acts that way. If she has a problem with trusting blacks then why even let us come in. Put a sign on your door. I hate that. Your business is flowing off of cash not color and by the way Accessory Zone takes any individuals cash. By the way guys, those used clothes that you all are selling can be found at garage sells or Carc for damn near 75% the price. Platos is no more than garage sales or Carc clothes. The difference is that these garage sell clothes are placed out totally higher where if you get up early enough you can purchase them for fifty cents. So people do your math. If you were to get up early on a Saturday morning, all you have to do is garage sale for what is in...
Read moreThe first time that I came to Platoâs they told me they couldnât look through the bags because stuff had pet hair. I was very confused considering I only own a hairless cat. I went and re-washed everything and came back and they told me once again that everything had pet hair. When I asked the girl to explain what she was talking about she showed me regular lint that occurs from the dryer. Anyone thatâs owned a pair of Lululemon pants or works out regularly knows that that kind of minimal lint is inevitable even on the first wash and dry for activewear. I did find two items that had some lint on them. A lot of the other items were brand new and did not though. I stood outside in the daylight and looked through every item. I also had a friend of mine look through and they couldnât find what they were talking about either except two tank tops which a lint roller would have solved the issue.. Frustrating.. Iâve been to other Platoâs Closets and this is the only one Iâve ever had an issue. I definitely recommend educating your staff on what pet hair actually looks like if theyâre going to be rejecting clothing and telling people that is why. Besides that the clothes are okay. Not as much cute stuff as...
