I go there regularly. Part of a regional HF store chain. This is a good inventoried and somewhat fair priced Health Food store. But I have had issues with checking out. Where I could not read the receipt (for months buying there) and I requested that the issue be fixed - because I couldn't see how much I was being charged for items. They FINALLY took care of the issue, but they were lame about not fixing it for a very long time. BTW, I recommend that you double check how much they charge for all items because they will mark something on sale and it doesn't come up on sale at the registure. (When it happens much too often you got to wonder "is this a fleecing tactic- does management have integrity issues etc.?" ) Some other complaints is that they sell too much non-organic food. And I thought organic is why people go to health food stores?? They sometimes put things supposedly "on clearance" and if you look at the price twice you may realize its not marked down at all! So I give them a 2 or 3 stars for their sneaky tactics but fortunately they are a better inventoried health food store and the people who work there are usually enthusiastic about being helpful especially when trying to find a specific item you need. (PS If it wasn't for their good inventory of items I would give them only 2 or 3 stars.) They barely rate 4 stars and they have lots of room for improvement. They need better management. And I think it's a criticism of the HQ management more than their store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm surprised this place has such good reviews. I have been eating "healthy/organic" for years now. Here are my grievances: 1-The produce selection is overpriced, and the turnover is horrible. It will cost an arm and a leg for some nearly rotten organic kale. 2-The dried goods prices are also... overpriced. 3-The supplements are also... overpriced. You'd be best off ordering dried foods or supplements online (amazon, iherb, etc.). I feel sorry for the suckers that come in here and pay the ridiculous mark up. There are very few things in here which are fairly priced. 4-If something sells out, it often takes weeks for them to get new inventory. 5-You're much better off going to MnMs Vitamins (right down the street) for AMAZING, fresh, organic produce. They also turnover their produce 3x a week and it's much more affordable. Earth Origins... I don't know how you will even compete with MnMs or even Publix for that matter.
The benefits of this store are location (not many health food stores in North Seminole), it's rarely ever busy, and Oz is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He truly cares about everyone that walks in there, and he really knows his stuff.
The corporate overlords would be wise to pay attention to the prices and inventory turnover if they want any longevity at this store.
EDIT: I think there's been some improvement in prices. I see more markdowns and more weekly sale specials. Produce is still lacking in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI canāt say enough good things about the Chamberlins in Lake Mary. Itās the only store I will go to for my vitamins and health supplements. I love their snack foods and essential oils too! Adam the store manager goes above and beyond, not only for me but for other friends I have talked to who also shop at this Chamberlins. His superb Sales Associates Erica, Ryan, and Jada are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and very attentive. The store is always well merchandised and very clean. If they donāt have it in stock, they will order it for you. I always have a million questions about the product or a health need, and they answer them every time. I would highly recommend this Chamberlins in Lake Mary! I have been shopping at Chamberlins since their days at The Winter Park Village When they were located there maybe during the time if The Winter Park Mall. Iām dating myself now.š A very happy customer Karen...
