I have seen this place for awhile and always have been curious and decided to go in and give it a try. I am so glad I did, instead of going to a chain establishment for a massage. I really enjoy supporting small businesses.

So to start, this place is more akin to a clinic, with enough care and know-how to address a plethora of issues. From major intensive treatments like reflexology, cupping, and sport massages, down to more delicate procedures like scalp treatments, facials, and the option to dip in for a short 10 minute massage (for 15$) during lunch break, it really is versatile.

I am am fairly athletic and have multiple issues with mobility and fascia. I went in and after a short wait and explaining my aches, I was able to be taken in almost immediately. I was escorted to a small room. I was asked throughout if I was comfortable, which I highly appreciate.

I have since gone back multiple times, and this has been my experience every time.

Today I went in for an hour facial. You can see for yourself the difference it made (She focused on one side of my face, took the pic, then finished up the other side).

Things to know ahead of time:

-This is not a place you would book with your besties or partner for a spa day for the group experience. It is a fairly small establishment.

-They are incredibly accommodating, so if something bothers you, let them know and they will be quick to adjust or fix.

-Mina also sells nails she makes in the cabinet up front. It was an unexpected but beautiful detail, and now I look them over every time I go in.

I give 4 stars because the lady was nice and she honored the Groupon price, and was accommodating with a same day appointment. But when I got there she said Jason will do your massage, I asked for a lady, she said she’s unavailable so I accepted the guy doing it. He started the massage through the sheet which I know a lot of massage places start with the towel or sheet & massage through it, I don’t like that, and after a few minutes I wondered if the whole massage was going to be through the sheet so I said “I don’t like the sheet”. He boomed “THIS PROFESSIONAL MASSAGE!” like i was asking for a happy ending not just a skin contact massage. He asked if I’ ve ever had a massage before & I said yes often in NY/CT. He said he taught 1,000 students in NY. Not sure what he was trying to prove. I’d requested 15 minutes of it to be on the feet & when he got to the feet he put on rubber gloves. That felt so disgusting and unpleasant and I said so. He ignored me. This was the first massage ever that I told them to just stop early 10-15 minutes because I was getting no pleasure out of it. I told the lady I didn’t like the massage because of the gloves. She said the health department requires gloves. I called Massage Envy in Florida and asked if that was true, they said no.
