Update 12/2/23: This update is long overdue. After submitting my 1-star review, the owner reached out to me and was really caring about what had happened. She worked to make things right and we stayed on for a few months. Ultimately, it didn’t work out for us in the end since my son was not a fan of their class structure, but it was really nice having him bring home those lovely art pieces. I had paid for Jan. classes back in mid-Dec. for weekly Friday classes. They were quick to charge my debit card. However, when I showed up for the first day of class, the New Manager, Kelly, tells me that they don’t have my son signed up for that class and there’s “no room in the class for him to stay”. She confirmed that she did in fact see my payment in the system, but not assigned to any specific class because Casey, the former manager, did not assign me to a class even though she told me that I was paying for the Friday class.
Ultimately, I decided to not stay with Drawn2Art because I found it ridiculous that they wanted us, the people showing up on time to take the class that they paid for, instead of telling one of the make-up parents that the class is full and to have them reschedule.
And no, being in transition into the role is not a valid excuse, especially when you see a payment from us in the system with no assigned class. The manager should have followed up with this at the beginning of the week to ensure that the customer is assigned to a class, and not wait until they show up for class the day of with a you’re...
Read moreDrawn2Art has been an incredibly special place for our son, who has been attending for over two years now. The program they’ve developed for budding artists is exceptional. Students progress through structured levels, working on increasingly detailed projects while exploring various art mediums like painting and drawing.
Our child absolutely loves his time at Drawn2Art. He attends the Sunday afternoon class, which fits perfectly with our schedule. Rescheduling is easy if he ever needs to miss a session. The instructors are fantastic and our son adores them—they’re passionate about teaching, and it shows in how they connect with the kids. He also enjoys spending time with his fellow classmates, making it a highlight of his week.
At home, we’ve created a little gallery wall to display his beautiful artwork, which we rotate regularly. He’s also built a portfolio he loves sharing with his classmates at school and his art teacher.
We highly recommend Drawn2Art and appreciate how they nurture his creativity and a...
Read moreMy 9-year-old has attended weekly classes at Drawn2Art Lake Oswego for the last four years, and I'd absolutely recommend this studio! The artwork my child has produced is incredible - we've dedicated an entire wall in our home to a gallery of finished pieces.
More importantly, though, my child has found her experience at Drawn2Art to be empowering, stress- and anxiety-reducing, a place to learn color theory and to experiment with lots of different methods but also to build independence and to develop confidence in herself. The staff are fantastic and my child has really connected with her teachers, who guide her in developing her art skills but also encourage her and support her as an individual.
Logistically, the class schedule is flexible and it is easy to reschedule when we have scheduling conflicts come up. Billing is automatic each month and the staff are very responsive to emails with...
