I must admit that I like Aldi. It can be a pain in the butt to shop here. First you will need a quarter to rent the cart which you do get back but who carries change anymore? Secondly you need to bring your own bags or else you will have to buy them from the cashier. Thirdly if you can't find that quarter you will piling all of your groceries into both arms trying not to drop them as you make your way to the cashier. See I told you it was going to be hard.
We really shop here for our produce. The prices are great when compared with the markup of Jewel located in the same lot. They even have organically now. The prices of bananas can not be beat here. The bulk potatoes and onion bags are also very affordable. We do not really buy the processed stuff here but recently started buying the antibiotic & nitrate free turkey breast lunch meat. It is such a healthy option that we can not pass up.
So if you're looking to save a few bucks then I recommend you check out Aldi. They are similar to Trader Joe's in that they package all their goods as their brand. That is why Aldi is the most profitable food store in America. Don't be embarrassed to shop here because all the yuppies are...
Read moreI shop at this location all the time and customer service is usually good. However my recent visit, I experienced very bad customer service. I asked an employee(side-shaved hair) for an item as she was stocking that area. She said she had it but that I had to wait for it. What made my experience worst was the supervisor, stocking with her, didn't assist me either. They were just carrying on conversations. Customer service would have it that one of them should of service the customer, and in a timely manner. After standing there and waiting for some time, I again asked her for the item, so I can purchase it, which she finally did. They need to be considerate of customer's time and hopefully this unacceptable customer service...
Read moreThis place is great. The 5 star review is a mix of a few things. If you are use to shopping at Jewel or Marianos, any Aldi you go to for the first time is going to blow your mind. This Aldi compared to some of the others in the city is actually a little bit smaller and has limited products but what it lacks in inventory it more than makes up for with the staff that works here. As a regular shopper I've experienced many of the workers here and they are all caring, friendly, and very efficient. If you live nearby you should definitely give this...
